Well it's 2025 and another trip to the Wisconsin State Fair. First time to visit Major Goolsby's however. We decided to sit at a table and get served by a waitress. I had a double cheeseburger that was okay at best. Didnt care for the fact that at $14.50, fries were not included. Fries are only included with a combo and a combo only came with a single burger. But, thats the State Fair for ya; when it comes to prices, there's nothing fair about it. I mean, $5 for a carton of milk I pay a dollar for when I visit my granddaughter at school for lunch. These vendors should be ashamed and we should be examined for being stupid enough to pay that kind of price. So, no fries for me. My guests however were very disappointed with their entire meal. Very dry and over cooked burger and soggy fries, glad I didn't 'em. Our biggest complaint was the loud speaker. It's 2025 people, and this place, in an already overcrowded super noisy atmosphere with a band blasting music outside, screams that an order is ready over a loud speaker. Every 10 or 15 seconds. Most of the time what was said could not be understood. It was pathetic, very annoying and made conversation literally impossible without yelling at each other. Goolsby, seriously, get some more flat screens, hang them around the place and display the numbers of the orders that are ready on the screen. Or use the screens you already have, cuz I guarantee that 99% of the people were not watching whatever you had playing. The numbers of the three most recent orders in large bold numbers on the left side of the screen, maybe four or five of the older orders in a smaller font in the middle of the screen and last chance/last call order numbers in flashing red on the right. Get rid of the loud speaker. You're serving food, not auctioning off cattle.

Came here on opening day of the Wisconsin State Fair. You can expect to overpay for everything at the fair. Major Goolsby is no exception. I got one of their Bacon Cheeseburgers. It was $16, but I have to say that it was pretty good. It was freshly made, the patty was flavorful, the bun was decent (Brioche would have been better), and the bacon was crisp and plentiful. Service was efficient and friendly, both at the counter and the tables. It was the first day, so everything was clean, and well maintained.

Walked in with my son who plays basketball and tried to celebrate with him and 8 other family members after an 8 hr drive to watch game. A server told us he would not serve us because it was only for the players. We would have to move if players came in. Meanwhile there were just fans congratulating the kids. Maybe they should have moved so family could celebrate. Very rude. Horrible experience. The waitress was nice but who ever this man was definitely ruined it.
