I came here today for an afternoon tea! It was lovely. The shop is very quiet. You can chat your heart away with friends. It's definitely more of an intimate setting. The woman working the shop was very attentive. You're provided with cold water and plenty of finger food. There's macarons, sandwiches, fresh fruit, and berries. There's a lovely selection of tea both caffeinated and decaffeinated. 10/10 will come here again. I will say-you get more bang for your buck if you come in a larger party.

I came here with my best friend on a random day. The owner was great. There was a bit of lag in the beginning service wise... I would love to come back and make this a 5 star. I know they have great things planned and I am excited to see what they do. I loved being able to get tea there...they also have the option of buying tea for home and they also have a selection of tea products/devices.

My friend and I had a terrible experience here. She made a reservation AND prepaid online. On the day of the reservation, the girl that worked there said there was no reservation. How can that be if it was already paid for? Make it make sense! She made a huge fuss about it as if she was so busy, but there was no one else in there occupying any tables but us. She finally set the table for us.. We sat there for about 25 minutes with just a carafe of water when she walked over to us and asked in an annoying tone,"Did you ladies decide on what tea you want yet?" And she threw the menu across the register.. We both looked confused because we have never been there before and we were actually waiting on her to explain how this works. After getting our tea, 45 minutes later, a man from the streets who looks really drunk walked in and asked her for something and she said to him, "you can't come in here right now, I have customers." Clearly he does this all the time. I think she ran out next door to Aggie's bakery to buy pastries for our platter. Because why would you go out there when you should be taking care of business right now (our table)? The phyllo pastry was super soggy by the time she served it. After she served us, she just left! Never asked us how everything was. Never refilled our hot water for the tea. The cover for the carafe of water was dirty. Bathroom paper towels were used for napkins. Nothing special about this place at all. To say that we were highly disappointed is an understatement. We were appalled that anyone would run a business in such a way.

I asked her if she had Boba. The only reason I went there is because online is advertised as if they sell Boba. She said she did so I asked for a taro Boba. She gave me this. I have no idea what it is, it taste nasty like sugar water. It is super watery with a few ice that melted instantly. I couldn’t even drink it, I just threw it away. I like supporting local businesses but unfortunately this was a big let down. Don’t go there for Boba they will give you sugar water and charge you an outrageous amount for sugar water.

Drove across town to grab a drink, because it looked cool by their website. came in and were ignored for about 5 minutes with two ladies about 2 feet from us the whole time. It was our first time, no greeting no offer to help at all. I work in the service industry so I’m pretty patient when it comes to customer service, but it was dead inside with not a single customer aside from me and the wife. So we just walked out ??‍♂️ If they were busy and even said a single thing like, “hi we’ll be with you in a minute,” I would’ve happily waited.

The first time we attempted to visit Swaye Tea Shop, a lady who was standing outside of the shop unlocked the door to let us in (she didn’t come inside with us). The shop was empty (no customers) and in disarray. There was a young girl in the back who asked who let us in (she appeared to be startled). We told her someone let us in. About 3 minutes later the lady from outside (later I found out it was the owner) came in and when we started inquiring about the various tea blends she stated that she had a family emergency and had to close.Fast forward two months, we attempted to visit Sawye again. This time we made a reservation with the owner, Shiree Bass-Henry, for Saturday, April 30 at 12:30PM , As luck would have it, when we arrived there was a handwritten note on the door stating they were closed. She didn’t attempt to contact us to give us an opportunity to reschedule as she does have our contact information from when the reservation was made. She was very defensive when we inquired as to why we didn’t receive a courtesy call/text/IM. We were simply trying to enjoy an afternoon tea.People asked why we went back for a second round…….we attempted to return because we wanted to experience the tea shop and support a local, unique small business. Also, we were empathetic to the family emergency. If she is truly struggling, perhaps she should cut back on open hours, operate ‘by appointment only’ for a while, or hire people who can help carry out the vision. We were really looking forward to experiencing the vision Shiree Bass-Henry has stated in various interviews and articles. It’s a shame to see all of the reviews from people who are experiencing inconsistent customer service and product from this business.I can refer you to a professional business coach if you are interested.

This was my first experience for an afternoon tea party and it was absolutely wonderful! The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was super cute. This was a great experience for my birthday and I will be going back very soon for more tea and more tea parties.

The teas here are absolutely wonderful. Afternoon tea is a production that shouldn't be missed. The general menu is very tasty. The owner is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and helpful- especially if you are trying to achieve some kind of goal. She Is interested in your health, and creates tea blends with herbs to meet your expectations. I find the whole thing fascinating. Cute little shop- I love this place.

I always wanted to go to afternoon tea so we booked at Swaye...$45 for two people and easy to schedule through their website. The owner was extra accommodating and gracious. My favorite was their egg and chicken salad. The holy basil Chai tea was fantastic. This was a great experience that I would recommend.

The main area was neat and clean, but there was a clear lack of cleaning beyond the entry area. I tried to use a bathroom in the back. After opening the door, it appeared to be a catch all area for credit card supplies to cleaning supplies. There was a bad odor in the room. There was no toilet paper and someone had used the toilet, either it was plugged or not flushed. I did not stay to try anything.
