I've eaten at KOS several times and it's always a memorable experience. From cocktails to dessert, they rarely miss the mark. The wait staff is superior: friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere is warm, subdued and quiet in the low table room, so no shouting to hear one another, even when they're crowded. It's absolutely perfect for a romantic couple's night out. Last night's meal was Gumbo with jumbo blackened shrimp (fabulous!!) and one of the weekly dessert specials, a delicious cranberry pavlova. The chef here is as good, or better, than any in the region, including LaCrosse. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant !!
This is our go to for special occasions

This is Fine Dinning, to even to the staff serving our meals. I suggest to come early before your reservation to even more, to absorb in the Atmosphere: across the street is a stunning Victorian Mansion from windows veiw. Fine dinning for two is about 1 hour and 1/2

(When I had visited this restaurant last year, I immediately sat down and wrote a review… But I posted it to Yelp! So sorry… Please excuse the tardiness of this review!)
Thoroughly enjoyable… A five star culinary experience! Excellent service from Barb, a warm and attentive representative of this restaurant. Please take any/all recommendations and try the specials! We started with a pear and Gorgonzola pizza and a plate of goat cheese truffles, which were both AMAZING.
What a truly excellent surprise to find such a great restaurant in Westby! Of course, it didn’t hurt that today was a gorgeous day and seemed to be just made for the 30 minute drive from Lacrosse to Westby. Unfortunately, this Chicago transplant has become spoiled by the five minute drive to ANYTHING in La Crosse. (But I just have to remind myself that my closest friend when I was growing up… A woman who was ALSO a Chicago girl… lived an hour away from my house in the suburbs. In light of that, 30 minutes to Westby doesn’t seem so bad… Especially when there’s a reward like KOS at the end of the trip.
Today’s luncheon was a birthday celebration, so I had made reservations In advance. It seems that they weren’t needed today, but it doesn’t take much to plan ahead… And I would hate to be disappointed if I drove that distance only to find out that they were full. It seems that the menu changes frequently, depending on seasonal availability. I would not hesitate to recommend KOS to the most discriminating of eaters! Enjoy!

Great food and vibe. Our waitress was excellent and even gave some good recommendations for activities in the area.

My wife and I had an anniversary meal here, and WOW, I can't wait to go back to KOS. The service was impeccable (thank you to our waitress), the food was amazing, and the ambiance brought it all together for a wonderful meal. This is the best restaurant within a 30 minute drive of La Crosse and it's not even close. My already high expectations were absolutely blown away. KOS knows what it wants to be and executes flawlessly; which isn't surprising if you know the leader. Thank you for a great evening and we look forward to our next visit.

We love this restaurant. The cocktails, food and service are always exceptional. This is our go-to restaurant for both lunch and dinner, When we have out of town guests, we always bring them here.
Was told by friends to “ check it out myself” after i heard good and not-so-good reviews…. Reserved a table in the dining section. Our waitress was good, and the cocktail right on. What didnt work so well: very small print on food & drink menu (recommend bolder print!); we ordered the bison burger ( too many flavors squeezed on the bun) and the special German pizza (here too, too many flavors on it, there was nothing German about it…) We had soup as appetizer ( good flavor, good portion size) and dessert (was ok but not special). Total bill incl tip $100. If you want to ‘try it out yourself’ make sure to bring reading glasses and a small flashlight.
I went alone to celebrate my 60th birthday. The food, the most part, was good. Excellent service, and they made me feel special. Would go again.

Excellent food with unique choices and something for everyone. We greatly enjoyed everything we had. The goat cheese truffles with lemon honey and jalapeño raspberry were delicious as was the goat cheese red pepper dip. The blackened shrimp were very tasty and we highly recommend the flourless chocolate cake and mint gelato. What a great restaurant!
Vegetarian options: There is a chick pea masala as a main but several hearty appetizers as well. It would be great if there added at least one more vegetarian option.
