“I go through Westby every Friday and make it a point to stop in for breakfast. Their croissant sandwiches are just great! Hot and fresh, highly recommend you try one!”

“Tasty wine assortment! Friendly servers and knowledgable to what you may like and then taste. Make sure to check them out when the pizza oven is fired up and enjoy a slice on the back patio. Usually always have some sort of music lineup on the weekends too. Great stop on a beautiful drive around the area.”

“I did not have one complaint about anything.... from the taking my reservation. Being so courteous and fit Me and the wife in.The waitress was just right on top of everything. Courteous and informative, Love the small talk and banter..I wish I would have remembered her name. That's the only gripe that I have...lol But the food was amazing Cooked to perfection and it was so delicious. The wife got pork chops and lobster tail. I ended Up getting a prime rib , Garlic mashed potatoes. A lobster Tail plus all the fixings the salad bar was full and everything was fresh. Crispy. I gotta stop talking about it My mouth is watering we can't wait to get back there We will definitely be going back,and back ,and back and Bringing some friend and family back to this gem! “LOVED, LOVED this place. We found this on the 'Only in Your State app (that really needs to be updated tho). The hours are not correct on it. The SUPER NICE couple that runs the bakery are mostly doing online orders since covid now, so call before going if you want to go in person. They welcomed us in anyway and shared stories as well as some treats they had on hand. I had some most incredible samples there and will be ordering soon as they ship anywhere in the US. You won't regret it!”

“We had Borgen's cater our son's wedding. We had their BBQ theme meal and the food was incredible. Heard many guests say it was the best food at any wedding they attended.”

“A classic Wisconsin supper club in operation for nearly 90 years. Clean, updated, and well-maintained. Delicious fish fry that was clearly fresh catch rather than frozen. Inexpensive drinks, unpretentious atmosphere, and cornhole on the patio!”

“Good motel for the price. Was visiting family so didn't need anything fancy. Got free bags of ice, donuts, muffins coffee and juice every morning. Staff at the Zstop was so friendly. Only complaint is the room a/c did not work. But the staff let us borrow the fan that was in the hallway with no problems. We would stay here again if needed to just would bring a fan.”

“I've had complaints with this location in the past, but today they got it right. They were well staffed, took care with how they made my sub, and were friendly and polite. I took it to go, and when I got home, it still looked like a sandwich. Seriously better than the haphazard sloppy way they were put together.”

But after eating here 10+ times, I think its about time I leave a glowing review of this amazing place.The food-- the menu is very understated; almost everything is made in-house! Mr. Sandwich is my favorite, with the biscuits and gravy being a close second. They make all their bread, buns, and biscuits in-house.I feel right at home here. Everyone is super welcoming and I love the unlimited drip coffee. You get to pick out your own favorite mug! So much personality in this place. Please check it out!”

“Wow, such a jewel.1) location easily accessible (including wheelchairs and strollers.)2) Very child friendly. A great place for parents to go and get a coffee and gelato with a friend or relative and chit chat while kids play in the amazing play corner3) play corner has a ton of toys, and has couches situated in a way it's easy to supervise/contain children while giving them space as well.4) Very plastic aware (almost plastic free.) For example, free water is in metal cups that they then wash and put out again instead of disposable. Diapers in bathroom are phthalate free.5) Organic breads available6) The gelato was good as well :)Such a treat, had to return with husband after discovering it!”

“We recently stayed at Hotel Fortney while attending a show at the Historic Temple Theater. I can't say enough good things about this beautifully renovated hotel. Everything about our stay was outstanding. Friendly staff, cool lounge/bar, 3rd-floor kitchen with refrigerator for leftovers + games + superior morning coffee (rocket fuel!), clean rooms, water bottle filling station, etc. The frosting on the cake was when Brian called to inform me that I forgot my phone charger and he promptly mailed it out. Thank you for the great stay.Rooms: Spacious, beautiful, very clean, attention to detailNearby activities: Veroqua has many shops worth checking out.Walkability: easy-peasy”

“What a fun seemingly hidden gem! We pulled up to this nowhere bar and from the outside it looked like any other pub In Wisconsin. Boy was I surprised! Tons of fun games like punch cards, pull tabs, and video machines in a special room. Then hidden in the back is an absolutely huge music hall. There were some out side seating tables out the back. The place didn’t look that big from the outside but opened up like Pandora’s box when we went in.It was cash only, but they do have an atm.We had the pizza and it was scorching hot!The bartender was an absolute doll!”

“I used to come here growing up but havnt gone in a while. Wow has it changed!! And for the better too. The sandwich I had was to die for and even have pizza too. Everyone is so nice and total shoutout for having a little play area set up!! Having an area for those antsy little ones is a must in restaurants now days. LolVegetarian options: They had salads and a vegetarian sub too.Kid-friendliness: The whole play area was so so cute! Coloring, play kitchen and a little easel!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free options were cool.”

“What a lovely place to stay in this quaint town! The new owners did an exceptional job of restoring this beautiful building into a fine hotel. Our room was spacious and I loved the bathroom - excellent shower and heated floors. There are many thoughtful touches like the clock that includes wireless charging and a relaxing noise machine if you want! We enjoyed the lounge downstairs and the morning coffee was absolutely delicious! We hope to come back to the area and stay here again. Highly recommend.”

“It was cocktail time in Viroqua and we were so glad to have stumbled upon Tangled Hickory! While they have big screen TVs throughout the bar (not a fan), the ambience was cute. Good lighting and a beautiful dark wood bar with comfy leather bar stools. Our bartender was an absolute sweetie! She offered free samples of beer to my husband before he ordered a Spotted Cow (a Wisconsin classic). She also made really delicious cocktails (old fashioned, Moscow mule and a whiskey martini) for me and our friends. We couldn't believe how affordable the drinks were! But then again, thats Wisconsin for you .”
