“stopped by to try the claw machine but it was turned off for a pool tournament will return to see if I am successful service was great and it's a cool location.”
“Absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is great, bartenders are pleasant, the chef is outstandingly at what he does, and the food is top shelf.Salad bar is always fresh, soup is home made.Daily specials are delicious, and the prime rib is good. Excellent seafood”
“Very friendly, welcoming. What you hope a small rural place will be.But the main thing is the burgers that come out of their tiny kitchen. The place is legendary for that. No joke.”
“I love coming here, whether it's to spend a few minutes or a few hours. The person I most often receive service from, Tori, is amazing - she remembered my coffee drink after the first time I visited! She is the epitome of friendly and genuine customer service. The space is welcoming and wide open, but never so crowded that you can't find a table or comfy couch to enjoy. There is even a child's area where kids can enjoy their time here as well. I adore the savory crepes, you can watch them made right at the front counter. They also have a small gift shop area with unique items from local artists, and fresh bread from a local baker. They sell many flavors of homemade gelato by the cup and pint as well. I try to make a point of stopping here whenever I am in town.”
“The best French cuisine I have ever eaten in my life, the food, the desserts, the wines, everything is a delight, the service is excellent, the nuns are very attentive and helpful, they make you feel at home. the church next door. Everything is beautiful.”
“Staying in Viroqua for the weekend and headed out in the morning to drive around and find some adventures. We happened to pass this place and decided to run in quick and get a doughnut for the road. Cute little shop with not an overwhelming amount to choose from. The doughnuts were amazing. Fresh, soft, delicious. They definitely have not been there all day. My husband was amazed. We even had to stop back there the next day on the way home. We even ran into a couple from Florida that were there. Must be good if you drive that far ?.”
“This salad is the most nourishing thing I've eaten in a coffee/tea shop.I can taste the thoughtfulness in your food.Thank you for coming to work today.Namaste??♀️?????Doing your best...I can taste it!?Vegetarian options: Salads are amazing!”
“The best food in the land! And the greatest people work here. You can’t go wrong with Maybe Lately’s. Everything made here is wonderfully delicious. All the love as always,Liam”
“Stopped for lunch after getting apples at the orchard. Very good food! Fun atmosphere and a nice size dining area. Family owned business and nice, friendly people.”
“2nd time staying at Hotel Fortney! We love it! We rented the room with the bunk beds and it was perfect for the kids as well as mom/dad. The room and atmosphere is absolutely perfect.”
“Came here because we always wanted to check out this place. Did not disappoint - the food is as great as you'd think it would be. Got a reservation for a table and found some seats at the bar for a drink. Ended up giving up our table to eat at the bar. Bartenders were great company and very knowledgeable. The food - I mean c'mon - the food was out of the world good. Had the Meze Trio and Oyster Mushroom Ravioli small plate. Then the Organic Prairie Beef Tenderloin and the Skrei Cod for dinner. All were so good and the service - even better. And - - get the Makers Manhattan, served chilled and up - did not disappoint. Thank you Driftless team for exceeding our high expectations.”
“Delicious, high quality, fresh food and a cozy atmosphere.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian chimichanga was delicious. It was filled with grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms.”
“Food never fails to satisfy. We usually go try out fish Fry's around the area and Desperados is our family's favorite. Our teenage boys love their huge burgers.”
“Best sour dough bread I've ever tasted!! I found them at the Viroqua farmer's market and will definitely return to check out their store even though it's quite a distance from where I live. Congrats on a great food product that tastes like it's made with pure love. ?❤️”
“I used to come here growing up but havnt gone in a while. Wow has it changed!! And for the better too. The sandwich I had was to die for and even have pizza too. Everyone is so nice and total shoutout for having a little play area set up!! Having an area for those antsy little ones is a must in restaurants now days. LolVegetarian options: They had salads and a vegetarian sub too.Kid-friendliness: The whole play area was so so cute! Coloring, play kitchen and a little easel!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free options were cool.”
“Have been here on multiple occasions for the pizza. Great doesn't even do it justice. Some of the best homemade pizza I've had. Service is great. Price is fair. Would highly recommend stopping by and trying it out if you haven't. You won't be let down!”
“Halver's Town Tap is still the place to drink in Gays Mills, WI. It's the only bar left but rest assured it's not going anywhere. Plus they are adding LIVE Music at the beer tent on Friday night at Apple Fest 9/23/2011. The Pie City Twisters will be cranking out classic rock. Laura's kid brother will be spinning inside. Saturday night Beer Tent is local favorites the Dr. Rumley Snuff Band. This is a huge beer tent, lot's of room to move around and dance and not suffocate with wall to wall people. Check out Apple Festival 9/23-25th. It's still one of the best small town festivals in Wisconsin and you can't go home without apples from the Orchards on the Ridge. more info on www.facebook.com/gaysmills.wi”
“First time visit. Roasted chicken was very good. Big pieces, lots of fries. Good size salad. Reasonably priced drinks. Friendly bartender! Great prices! Will go back!”
“It was cocktail time in Viroqua and we were so glad to have stumbled upon Tangled Hickory! While they have big screen TVs throughout the bar (not a fan), the ambience was cute. Good lighting and a beautiful dark wood bar with comfy leather bar stools. Our bartender was an absolute sweetie! She offered free samples of beer to my husband before he ordered a Spotted Cow (a Wisconsin classic). She also made really delicious cocktails (old fashioned, Moscow mule and a whiskey martini) for me and our friends. We couldn't believe how affordable the drinks were! But then again, thats Wisconsin for you .”
“What a lovely place to stay in this quaint town! The new owners did an exceptional job of restoring this beautiful building into a fine hotel. Our room was spacious and I loved the bathroom - excellent shower and heated floors. There are many thoughtful touches like the clock that includes wireless charging and a relaxing noise machine if you want! We enjoyed the lounge downstairs and the morning coffee was absolutely delicious! We hope to come back to the area and stay here again. Highly recommend.”
“Options are pretty limited in Viola. I'm not much of a drinker, so I can't vouch for the drink selection etc, but I've stopped in at lunch for tacos on Tuesday. Tasty, filling, and cheap!”
“Good motel for the price. Was visiting family so didn't need anything fancy. Got free bags of ice, donuts, muffins coffee and juice every morning. Staff at the Zstop was so friendly. Only complaint is the room a/c did not work. But the staff let us borrow the fan that was in the hallway with no problems. We would stay here again if needed to just would bring a fan.”
“Really spacious bar with a great aesthetic. The walls and ceiling are covered with antique tin panels that were taken from the original opera house upstairs in the historic building. This place has so much personality and character! It’s been really cleaned up from the last time I was there. The bartenders are friendlier and much more attentive and professional as compared to the last time I stopped in. If you’ve had a not so great experience give it another go, you won’t be disappointed. This is a place you don’t want to miss, so unique!”
“Been going to this Culver's for over 20 years and have nothing but great things to say. Great food the people throughout the years have always been wonderful. Highly recommend!”
“5 stars if you don't go on an off time. Some of the buffet dishes were empty, but I understand. There was only 4 other people in there so no point in making a bunch of food. But food is delicious, service was fast, nice atmosphere.Parking: Parking lot is tiny and shared with other businesses.”
“We were in the area and looking for a good breakfast place. This restaurant didn't disappoint. Will have to try lunch or dinner here the next time we visit Viroqua.”
“The food here is always amazing and well put together, but the service can heavily very due to new people working there all the time. So you can (once in a blue moon) get a sour worker that can be touchy every time you go in, and they are there. But overall, great little sub shop!”
“I dropped in for a simple breakfast yesterday and I was blown away by the delicious food they prepared. I also ordered the veggie melt just so I could satisfy my cheese craving but it was so delicious I felt bad for eating so much. Right now they have a nice simple Christmas feel but the food they prepare here is far greater than “simple.””
