“Stopped in on German night. The food was tasty but took a while to get, which was OK because we were sipping beers. Wait staff was fun (wearing traditional dresses) and mostly attentive. I believe we hit shift change as our server changed. Nice selection of beers. Atmosphere was great! Will definitely be back.”
“We had breakfast there today. Biscuits with sausage gravy and an egg on top. It was very good. The atmosphere was worth the visit. The inside was very well done with vintage decor and western decor. The most amazing decor was Berador cooler. The best part of the visit was the amazing young bartender/server. She has a great personality and made us feel very welcome. The Stockyard is a must trip for anyone that wants great service, food and atmosphere. We most definitely will go back.”
“Excellent Food All The Way Around, Including Breakfast, Lunch, Or Friday Night Fish, & Friday Night Specialty Pizzas, ThankYou Sincerely, & See You Very Soon, The Wyman ”
“We recently stayed at Hotel Fortney while attending a show at the Historic Temple Theater. I can't say enough good things about this beautifully renovated hotel. Everything about our stay was outstanding. Friendly staff, cool lounge/bar, 3rd-floor kitchen with refrigerator for leftovers + games + superior morning coffee (rocket fuel!), clean rooms, water bottle filling station, etc. The frosting on the cake was when Brian called to inform me that I forgot my phone charger and he promptly mailed it out. Thank you for the great stay.Rooms: Spacious, beautiful, very clean, attention to detailNearby activities: Veroqua has many shops worth checking out.Walkability: easy-peasy”
“Tasty wine assortment! Friendly servers and knowledgable to what you may like and then taste. Make sure to check them out when the pizza oven is fired up and enjoy a slice on the back patio. Usually always have some sort of music lineup on the weekends too. Great stop on a beautiful drive around the area.”
“What a fun seemingly hidden gem! We pulled up to this nowhere bar and from the outside it looked like any other pub In Wisconsin. Boy was I surprised! Tons of fun games like punch cards, pull tabs, and video machines in a special room. Then hidden in the back is an absolutely huge music hall. There were some out side seating tables out the back. The place didn’t look that big from the outside but opened up like Pandora’s box when we went in.It was cash only, but they do have an atm.We had the pizza and it was scorching hot!The bartender was an absolute doll!”
“Awesome WI towny bar. The bar was busy and we just missed the dinner rush. They ran out of a few dinner items but no matter. Had Cod and pizza. Very good. Waitress was very nice. Great small town feel.”
“Haven't been to Nicks yet but the owners were dining at the restaurant i manage tonight. I mentioned my upcoming birthday and they left me a cash gift and two drink chips from their bar so I'm going! How nice!? I've heard really good things about this place for being a little town bar! Can't wait!”
“The place was bustling. There was live music. The food was good. It would have been good if there had been at least one more server, but everyone was very friendly.”
“Great little stop with views of the winery from the tasting room deck. Had a great wine tasting, definitely preferred the reds here. Friendly staff and cute merch!”
“I have been blown away by Harmony Valley Farm's CSA boxes. This was my first year and my expectations have been far exceeded. Each box is quite literally PACKED FULL of produce. The variety is better than I knew could be grown in this area. The emails outlining the box content and recipe options for each type of produce greatly helps me meal plan. I've reduced my meat consumption simply by having wonderful produce consistently at my fingertips, and this feels beneficial to my health and the environment. Very important detail to mention: every single bit of produce has been fresh, without rot or being close to going bad. It's only October and I'm already excited to sign up for next year!”
“great size horseshoe style bar. with additional seating. you'll spend 20 minutes or so to get seated because this place is so popular. Great salad bar, excellent steak and seafood. Everytime im here the food is excellent and I appreciate the consistency. Excellent service from the bartender to the hostess and waitstaff.”
“Out for a car ride with 17 people in our party. Called an hour ahead for reservation. Promptly seated at our appointed time. Wait staff was very friendly and right on the ball. Great salad bar. Meals came almost immediately after finishing salad and was piping hot. Huge portions and nothing but accolades from the group on the taste and quality of the food. It is very evident that this is a well oiled machine. Probably one of the most reasonably priced restaurants that I have been. It will definitely be on my go-to list for future trips. On an overall scale from 1 to 10, it is a 25. Don't miss out on an opportunity for this exquisite meal. Worth the trip.”
“First time visit. Roasted chicken was very good. Big pieces, lots of fries. Good size salad. Reasonably priced drinks. Friendly bartender! Great prices! Will go back!”
“Been going to this Culver's for over 20 years and have nothing but great things to say. Great food the people throughout the years have always been wonderful. Highly recommend!”
“5 stars if you don't go on an off time. Some of the buffet dishes were empty, but I understand. There was only 4 other people in there so no point in making a bunch of food. But food is delicious, service was fast, nice atmosphere.Parking: Parking lot is tiny and shared with other businesses.”
“The food here is always amazing and well put together, but the service can heavily very due to new people working there all the time. So you can (once in a blue moon) get a sour worker that can be touchy every time you go in, and they are there. But overall, great little sub shop!”
“We were in the area and looking for a good breakfast place. This restaurant didn't disappoint. Will have to try lunch or dinner here the next time we visit Viroqua.”
“I'm not a huge McDonald's fan overall, but the ones in Richland Center, WI and Viroqua, WI really are a cut above the rest. The staff are almost always really pleasant, efficient, and consistent. The food is also consistent, hot, and made right (it is fast food, but dare I even say it tastes fresh?) Most of my time prior to last year was spent in larger cities like Madison, Milwaukee, or Rockford and everywhere in between- and this type of consistency in both service and quality rarely existed in fast food- hence why these 2 McDonald's are deserving of 5 stars.”
“Called in for a carryout and told me it would be about a half hour. I got helped up at work longer than expected and showed up over an hour later, and they had it on top of the pizza oven so it would stay warm. Great pizza ?”
