We stopped by just for drinks at their beach on a wonderful early fall day. But the cost wasn't just typical of nice area restaurants. I don't mind paying more for the atmosphere at a nice restaurant, but this was off the scale. As regular visitors to the area for decades, we have a decent frame of reference. Then again, they can charge what the market will bear. And the market bears it. With that being said, we'll be back.
Came here twice, once on a boat day where we got drinks. Drinks were delicious, and it has a great atmosphere right on the lake. The next day we came for dinner where we were disappointed, food wasn’t great and the service was also poor, asked for a surprise birthday desert for a friend that never came.
We attended the Hypnotized event on Saturday and it was so much fun. The event space is large and the tables are well spaced so you don’t feel crowded. There are 2 bars and bathrooms. The food was better than expected given the size of the event. The band was great and there was room up front to dance…which we did the entire time. It was the perfect way to celebrate our birthdays! We highly recommend Pier 290.
