Whenever friends visit me in Wilton, I always take them here. Good food at a good price.

Dorset Valley Schoolhouse Restaurant is a wonderful establishment that hosts a free pancake breakfast for veterans and their families on the last Monday of each month from 8am to 11am. The restaurant is inviting, and the staff are friendly, making it a great place to dine with family or friends. The food is highly recommended, with the burgers being a standout. The hamburger steak, served with American fries and a garden salad, is also a delicious option. The salad is fresh and crisp, while the hamburger is juicy and flavorful. The restaurant has a unique history as a remodeled schoolhouse, with interesting stories shared about its past. The service is excellent, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. The prime rib on Saturday is noted as great, and the chicken and beef dinners are tasty and large, often resulting in leftovers. Additionally, the restaurant offers a variety of pies, including hickory nut pie and peanut butter pie, which are worth trying on future visits. Overall, the ambiance is very nice, making it a cool place to stop in a rural area off of i-90.
