Applebee's Grill + Bar

I really love applebees I've been a few times in different locations and but the food i ordered tonight was so bland the Mac and cheese tasted like Alfredo... The chicken was unedibly salty and the bread stick was harder than absolute hell... Which surprised me because it was sitting in a steaming container of "Mac and cheese". The riblets and french onion soup were great! But the rest of the food was either over salty and or bland... Or just not what you want for a Mac and cheese... I'm sad...

ask for well done got very pink and they took it back tried to refry burger. Came back pink as heck yet. I finally told her take the plate I didn't want it. I can't eat pink meat because of gag reflex. Exactly why I ask for well done!! They literally took it and just added more cheese and probably threw it microwave. You know they didn't recook they brought it back the same burger I pulled apart within a min.They could have gave my husband burger for free because of there mess. When I said something to one of waitress she said I'm not the cook. No but your the waitress and took the order and if it's not right correct it. Going to different restaurants maybe that definitely made me sick to my stomach. Laticia L was waiter. Definitely will not return. By the way people next to us were having same experience stuff not brought out they ordered and undercooked. Just all around bad experience. Hour from home to deal with this kinda service. Also we waited to even get seated before someone noticed from behind the bar then she went and got the girl from kitchen and girl said sorry I was helping in kitchen. If I could give no stars I would. Least Burger king can cook a burger to well done that says a lot right there.

I stayed in a hotel near this location and was looking for something to eat and figured why not go to the Applebees. After reading some of the reviews I was a little hesitant to go based on the other reviews. I figured you cannot listen to everyone the internet sometimes.

I sat at the bar and orderd a cocktail which was actually really good and was well made which I did enjoy. I ordered wings as well which were good, about what I expected. The main dish I ordered was not very good. It was the pepperia chicken? - cannont remeber what it was called. The pasta was watery and not a whole lot of flavor to the dish.

I was one of the few people in the resturant and the only one at the bar. What really botherd me the most about the whole experience was being the only one at the bar because all of the employee would gather around the bar area and talk while I am trying to enjoy my meal. The employees didnt really seem to care about my space while eating nor care about me as a customer. - I am usally not one to complain about people because at the end of the day we are all human. But this was just a little wild. I had about 4-5 employees standing around me talking about work gossip.

Overall I would give this applebees another shot due to the good drinks and the wings.

Tonight was the first time we had horrible service. Our waiter couldn’t handle the couple tables he had. We almost walked out. It took forever for our drink order then to even get the drinks as we were ready to leave he showed up with them. The other table he had got their drinks right away. Then instead of taking our drink order he disappeared again. We waited probably 15 min when he could have taken our dinner order when he brought our drinks as we had already been in the restaurant 20-30 minutes. We told him we had been ready 15 min ago and he tells us that now we know his frustration. No listen I was a waitress for Applebees years ago and this dude needs training. He had no system and no clue. I just think if you’re stressed ask for help or fake it till you you make it. Highly disappointed tonight.

Waited for hour and a half and still didn’t get food, wasn’t even busy, the waiter kept forgetting what we were telling him. Seems like he’s on drugs or has a disability, can’t tell. This was terrible

Granted it was door dash but these are not tenders these a fish stick sized tenders. $12.69 for this? Last time I get anything for wisconsin rapids location

Absolute horrible experience today. 11/8/2024
Got in at 4:22pm not 1 server came to ask if we wanted anything. Finally 4:40pm and had enough. 2 tables were there other then me and my wife. Walked past times. This place is going downhill quick. Horrible management there that let's it alright for employees act like fools.

Very excited to have brought my money to El Mezcal instead. Where we were seated and order taken in less than 5 mins.

I ordered 10 wings and only got 9. The steak was pretty good, but the brocolli and potatoes were also very bland, served without salt or gravy.

I also don't feel safe knowing they ban their customers from carrying to defend themselves and others on the property.

Ever since they changed owners, the quality of the food has gone downhill and the service has gotten even worse. Anytime we order for delivery it seems like the care of the order gos down even more if that's possible, cold food and missing items. The establishment itself is nice and yes I know we don't have to eat here but I think we keep hoping it'll get better. Plus it's Rapids and not many options.

Server was very good so did make sure to take care of her. Food came out very slow. Took way to long. Should not be there over 2 hours for lunch. When it came out quality was honestly not what we expected. Chicken tenders over cooked. Burgers were both no pink when they asked pink or no pink and we said pink. So over done. Nothing to do really with the server but 12 pm on a Sunday you would think we get at least an ok experience. I don't usually do these unless way over expectations or way under expectations. Daughter even use to work for the company and left for her field but said she has not had it that bad ever. (Told a few local friends and they pretty much yelled at me for going there due to they all say it is not good.) They may want to work on that store. I won't go to any Applebee's now at least for a while. Pay over $100 you would think you get better food and speed of service.

Had an older waitress who said she had been there only 4 months. Was very slow and paid no attention to her clientele. Was at our table 4 times, to take drink order, drop drink and take food order, to drop the bill, then to pick up the payment. We had to ask a kind young lady who seemed to be training another to get us refill on soda, a glass of water, napkins, and hot sauce. Needless to say the 2 young lady's got the tip from us today. We had hoped to have Josh as he is fantastic and very attentive.

OMG, worst applebees out of them all. Wrong food brought out to my mother on her bday. When we got the right food finally, it was undercooked. My 3yo son ordered macaroni and it was rubbery cold! And if you have ever cooked macaroni you know that it only gets rubbery from getting really cold or from being leftovers! Missing food, sat for 15 minutes before asking a waitress who our waiter(tress) is because hostess failed to tell staff we were there, general manager was some young 20+ year old Steve irkle looking kid that was totally checked out so I didn't even bother to bring any of this up to him. He was too busy any trying to flirt with some of the tables. *eyeroll*. Waitress never gave my mom her bday cake they promised her, nor gave her the senior discount the waitress had mentioned prior. My family and I won't ever be back to this particular branch. This is actually the worst review I have ever written and I feel genuinely bad about it.
Oh also, my "endless shrimp" came out with only 5 pieces, and the were rubbery too.
