For what's supposed to be an upscale place it isn't. Service was good, atmosphere was adequate but the food was boring, bland and expensive.

There is a lot to like about this place - friendly service, great atmosphere, well prepared cocktails and meat items.However, there are few negatives I hope they’d consider changing - 1) given that everyone is asked to order while sitting at the bar (which is great in a way that is so Wisconsin), cash-only at the bar area is quite puzzling. In fact, if it wasn’t cash-only I would’ve ordered more drinks for my party; 2) salad bar could use few more fresh items without mayo. The menu indicates salad bar as a standalone item would be $15. My bet is that every item on the bar can be bought for $15. 3) seafood items from shrimps to scallops were simply awful especially at that price point. Two people at our table did not finish their shrimps at the end of the meal and only ate their steaks.I really want to like this place. But at near $100 per person with cocktails, it is difficult to justify the cost given the quality issues.

It has been a few years since we have dined at Branding Iron and we were looking forward to our meal there. All servers were wonderful. The facility was cold, many guests were eating with coats on including myself. The decor is relaxing and tastefully done. We enjoyed our drinks and the salad bar was good. The entree was average at best in regard to flavor and presentation. I felt the price was high for the quality of food received.

Very disappointing, the special was a new york strip, mine was so tough I could barely cut it, I tried to eat it but after a couple bites I just couldn't, the waitress did ask if I wanted a replacement but by this time my wife had finished eating so I said no thanks, the meal was taken off our bill. Also when we ordered our meal, we were asked if we would like soup or salad bar, we opted for the salad bar, no mention there was a $6 up charge per person for the salad bar, which I thought we should have been told at the time we ordered. I response to your reply, yes the server did ask and as I had tried a couple bites, hoping it would get better, which it didn't. As for eating half, I ate about an inch off one end as stating before, hoping it would get better. I also wonder why you didn't mention the upcharge for the salad bar with no mention when we ordered. It was brought to our attention by a friend so my wife called prior to our going and was told the salad bar is included with all dinners. There was an additional $12 charge on our bill that specified salad bar.

We went for dinner during the week and had a fantastic meal. Everything was a nicely portioned and cooked well. The atmosphere was classic supper club including a salad bar. Our waitress even left a water carafe on our table so we wouldn’t have to ask for refills. My only minor complaint was the salad dressing. We got only a small plastic cup which was a little cheap. We will definitely be coming back.

Was not impressed with this place. For starters it’s a cash only bar and you can not add it to your food bill. We got seated and had the salad bar for our side, and I must say that was a very disappointing and limited salad bar. Then we received our food and the steaks were very bland and not seasoned. For the amount of money we spent on dinner we could have went to Applebees and received a better steak for less. Would not recommend this place save your money and go elsewhere.
