From The Ground Up

Wonderful place, with warm cheerful folks. Great coffee, and fun sense of humor. Loved the 69 VW bus they have inside. The atmosphere was very inviting, and I wish I could have stayed longer. A perfect spot to relax, have a cup or two of coffee, a snack, and a conversation.

We always stop here when attending the Grand Affair. It is a great place for coffee with decent prices. Food looks great although we have never eaten there. The decorations bring back loads of fond memories. Never had a bad experience.

I go here about once a week when I go to the library. A little pricey but I love all their monthly drinks and the variety of products. My favorite drink they have right now is the nutty Irishman and my favorite food item is their garden bagels. Always so good. Today I went for a second time in a week and spiced it up. I got a match madness which is a vanilla cinnamon coffee drink and an espresso brownie. So yummy!!! Always so friendly and quick. Now knowing they do pick up orders. I might have to come a few times a week before work. More I get order and familiar with local businesses around here. I am so happy to give my money to the small businesses! Especially when they are a 10 out of 10! Thanks guys, you rock!

Great place to stop for a beverage or food, and to relax. Very interesting place (decor).

Would not honor a gift card one day after expiration! Thought that was pretty bad since we had been there twice and they were closed and do not live in Wisconsin Rapids. Will be back.

Nice coffee shop, great atmosphere, and eclectic decorations. The food was fantastic, we had three different pastries, and they were excellent.

Service was a bit slow, as some of the drinks they offer take time to make. At the time we were there, there was only a single person at the counter making the drinks. This by no means will stop me from coming back, as everything else overall was fantastic.

I work remotely, and although I have a fantastic home office, I work from libraries or coffee shops about once a week becaues there are just too many distractions at home. From The Ground Up is in my regular rotation of away-from-home work spaces. Some of the older reviews mention that there's no WiFi and they don't take card payments, but that is no longer the case, so don't let that deter you. It's a friendly atmosphere and the baristas are incredibly welcoming, even if you just buy one drink and sit in a booth or at a table for several hours. (Guilty.) I haven't tried the food, but it looks and smells great. My go-to drink is a mocha, and I've never had a bad mocha here in the 2+ years I've been coming in. This is a nice little coffee shop, and I'm glad we have a place like this in downtown Wisconsin Rapids.

really like this coffee shop! it’s a cafe/study area/ mini library. tons of types of coffee and different places to sit. didn’t get pictures but your coffee or latte comes in a mug (if you plan on staying)
