Ida’s Sports Bar & Grill

We went to Ida’s this last Friday for a fish fry, and it was fantastic. We had a family of 8 (I don’t recommend), and we waited about 15 minutes from our 5:00pm arrival. The staff were very inviting and kind, the food was even better! I ordered the haddock, my dad ordered the perch, and my mom ordered the walleye. We shared and all the fish and it was amazing. The fry’s and chips were both fantastic sides as well as the complimentary coleslaw and rye bread. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and they made it special with a piece of their chocolate molten cake and it was delicious. Once we were just about finished the server came to make sure we were wrapping up as there were quite a few people waiting, I now understand why. I will definitely be back with a smaller crew!

Had the prime rib special at Idas Sports Bar & Grill in Wisconsin Rapids. Absolutely nailed it — juicy, tender, and full of flavor. I didn’t want to stop eating, but my family was already done and waiting on me to finish this giant cut of prime rib.

Go on an empty stomach, you’ll want every bite. Great food and great people all around.

Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was really good. I prefer mine alittle more thinly sliced but it was still good and loaded with meat, toppings, and cheese on good bread. The brew city fries (they also have Kringle fries) were really good. Crispy and flavorful! Lots of TVs and good overall environment. Service was quick and friendly!

Food was ok but the service was extremely terrible. Was not waited on 15 minutes the bartender was on her personal phone. Never asked how the food was, had to get my to go box myself. Was charged for bottled beer instead of tap. Not a good experience.

Burgers are expensive for using cheap frozen predone burger patties. Also had a BBQ chicken pizza and tasted like it had bad cheese on it. The mozzarella sticks were fried so long they had most of their cheese melted out of them and were just hollow.

We had a party of 13 today for lunch. Ida’s is one of my favorite places, and today is just another reason. The waitress did an amazing job, very accommodating, & more! Food & atmosphere ALWAYS great. Thank you Ida’s!

Great place, family friendly.

We tried to use an old gift certificate for 2 beers and a sandwich. The kind waitress phoned the owners and the owners would not honor the gift certificate, saying they were different owners than when the gift certificate was purchased and did not know the prices at the time of the gift certificate's purchase. This is no way to treat your customers 😕 so sad, as someone paid money for this.
