Jim's Barb-ie-Q Shack

We went to Jim's BBQ shack and had the ribs (spicy) and Brisket sandwiche. The food was delicious and the staff was great with good recommendations. Definitely go back next time we are in Wisconsin Rapids area.

Best bbq in central Wisconsin. The only time I’ve ever gotten full off of a half rack! Lots of meat, great flavor, zero complaints. I’ll be back for more.

I've driven by this place lots of times and never stopped. Finally I was able to give it a try. First time there and I really liked it. I told the person at the counter it was my first time there. He gave me and my wife some menu's so we could take our time and decide. He even came over to our table and took time to explain the menu and asked if we had any questions. I ordered a full order of ribs and my wife got a pulled pork sandwich. The food was outstanding. We were both happy with the experience and look forward to going back there again soon.

Really cute little place with really delicious food!
I've had the beef brisket and its absolutely amazing.. just falls apart when you pick it up . The best I've had outside the south. They also have really good baked potatoes - its a great combination. For dessert you can always grab some of their amazing ice cream flavors. Every time I've gone, the workers are very friendly and helpful.

As an aside, I have to eat a gluten-free diet.. they're very open about their ingredients and helpful when asked questions. As I said, Ive had the beef and the potatoes and nothing has ever made me sick :)

This is not BBQ. This is just a place that has a smoker. Is over done, just nothing special. Way over priced for what you get.

Yes! Genuine bbq, the first thing I looked for on my beef was a smoke ring, and it was beautiful! The pork had already sold out for the night, but the beef was tender, melted in your mouth, and tasted good. I only say good for me, because my family also used hickory to smoke meats, and I could have used more hickory scent and flavor. If you prefer subtle smoke tones, the beef I happened to get that evening, probably would have been perfect. I am sure the intensity of the smoke flavor varies each cook. I'll have to go back and hope I can try the pork or even the chicken.
The sauce was good, and slathered on quite well, and I have to wonder if the sauce covered up the smokey flavor I was looking for.
I had the loaded baked potato, and it was just right. Camp potato and better, perfectly soft, skin was nice, and ratio of potato to meat was spot on. Kids shared a pulled beef sandwich, and they devoured it with some amazing cheesy hash browns...move over mac n cheese.
They also have an entire Ice Cream counter, so a one stop shop of you've been out all day and want a true bbq meal without the hours and hours it takes to care for and make it, with something sweet to end it.
They keep the dining area very clean, the fish tank is definitely worth a look and also very clean with healthy fish (better kept than the turtle tank over at Shaw Lee's for sure).

Never disappointed when I grab bbq from here! The QShack Tator is my go to, mouth watering goodness!!! Cheesy hash browns are perfect, potato salad is delicious!! Highly recommend!

Had the Q-Shack baked potato with pulled pork. IT WAS AMAZING TOO SAY THE LEAST!!!
Highly recommend!!! You won't regret it!

Great little family owned business with some of the best pulled pork and beef around. Great menu choices!

LOVE the food here! Unfortunately we had to wait at the drive thru window for over 10 minutes without acknowledgement. We honked after 5, and then I called the place to let them know we were in the drive thru. Just some sort of way for them to know when someone is there would be helpful for service. No complaints otherwise!
