Best Italian I've had since living in Chicago. Highly recommend the rice balls and meatballs combo with a side of Chocolate Espresso martini ✨⭐✨⭐

My husband and I came up from Madison to celebrate his birthday. The hotel is just beautiful and the staff was super nice. We had prime rib and asparagus and it was absolutely amazing. We also stayed in a Jacuzzi room that was super nice and clean. I would definitely go back.

I've been here a couple of times, staff is great, food is pretty good and it's a nice relaxing atmosphere. I had the burger this time along with several drinks. Burger was pretty good, cooked great, nice and juicy.

There is always fresh weekly specials, soups and sandwiches, the Fish Fry is delicious! And the staff is very attentive and friendly, 10/10 would recommend
Very nice restaurant. Decorations and the chandeliers were very nice. And the food was some of the best hotel food I’ve ever experienced.

My friend and i go there on Sunday's for the brunch buffet for the past 6 months. This Sunday was the 1st day of the menu and I was the 1st customer. No buffet, that's ok, we decided to eat there.
We were the only ones there. I ordered a half turkey club and sweet potatos fries. It comes out as a PATHETIC excuse for a $12 sandwich, take a bit and its wrong. They made me a BLT instead of a club. Sent it back but told her to do a full sandwich after seeing the half. The turkey on the club looked like thin sliced packaged walmart turkey, just 6 pieces not even seperated and i was convinced by the color and flavor it was ham.
Once again i was the 1st customer to order off the new menu and I was beyond disappointed. made a review on their Facebook page and they deleted it! DO NOT WASTE YOU TIME AND MONEY ON ATLEAST THEIR SANDWICHES. My friend had the burger and she said it was ok but we won't ever be returning outside of special buffet days.

Got the prime rib sandwich with sweet potato fries and cheese curds. Everything was meh. I wasn’t impressed with any of it. Sandwich was super bland, and the cheese curds were rubbery. Not the worst thing I’ve ever had, but I can’t imagine going back.

Went with friends for Friday fish fry and was not disappointed. All of us very much enjoyed our food (even the friends who are very picky about their fish fry)

I had an incredible experience at The Whitney! The service was amazing and so was the atmosphere. Their vodka pasta was sooo delicious and honestly, the best comfort meal. However, the highlight of my meal were the Wisconsin cheese curds. Absolute perfection!!! And don’t let me get started on the ranch. If you’re in the area, you should definitely visit.

Went there to eat on a Thursday night and there was only 1 waitress working as the rest were helping with a gathering in the common room. The food was okay but for a mostly Italian menu, there were no breadsticks, salad bowl or even fresh ground parm. I will say that the dining room looked as beautiful as I always remembered.

I honestly didn't have high hopes for this experience, so I'm glad I went in with low expectations. The atmosphere was fancy, and the back lit menus were a nice but unnecessary touch. With only 3 other tables occupied, we were seated next to a table of businessmen that we could hear every word of conversation since it echoed. The service was fine, but we didn't get to see Robert in action. He sat in a corner, looking lonely. The presentation of food was a 10 out of 10, I just wish the taste matched. I had the shrimp scampi, and even though I could see the noodles swimming in garlic, I was desperate to find a jar of garlic salt to give it more flavor. My husband said the ravioli was just ok. The meals didn't come with anything, so we had to add sides for $5 each. My dish was $16+$5 salad which wasn't worth it. I wish they would give you a side dish with the meal. The ranch on the side salad was the best part, along with my husband's fries. So if you're looking for a cheap date night, get the sides and don't stay for dessert. The tiramisu was also subpar. The first bite, I enhaled a bunch of espresso powder. The rest of it was almost inedible with the soggy ladyfingers on the bottom.

The Mead finally has a great Chef again. In three trips the food has been excellent every time. They seem to be a bit understaffed though. Bartenders and host are bit slow.(No sense of urgency here.) But, the food makes up for any deficiency in service.
