I like and support ma and pa places. The Margaritas were over priced and served in a small drink glass. We had the spicy cauliflower bites which were over fried and greasy. Both of us had the seafood enchiladas special which we had to fish for the seafood. Everything was cold. We had hotter and better tasting food at Taco Bell. Didn't cost $70 for the two of us to eat at Taco Bell. I'LL NEVER GO BACK OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. FOR WHAT IT COST FOR EUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD. I SHOULD'VE LEFT A $1 TIP INSTEAD OF WHAT I DID!!!!

Best Mexican food in the Northwoods. Don't go anywhere else. Seriously. The chorizo is spicy and divine. Get the tortilla soup. You will NOT be disappointed. Nice servers and great atmosphere, too. A surprise in Woodruff.

Everything about this place is right. Owners did an amazing job restoring the building. The food is high quality, super fresh, and great taste profiles in every bite. Eat here often if you like to be happy!

Not authentic. Side of beans was whole under cooked beans in an adobo sauce. The rest of the meal was drowned in sauces or cheeses. The server didn't seem knowledgeable about anything they were serving and couldn't answer basic questions. Drinks were mediocre, 10 dollars got me a small margarita.

Food and drinks were delicious! I had the Chicken Enchiladas with Tequila veggies and Mexican Cole Slaw. All of it was great. Never had cole slaw like it before, I am a fan. Super cute place as well. Copper tooled ceiling and copper accents, it had a wonderful, warm, inviting vibe. Nice selection of Tequilas and hot sauces!

My favorite Mexican restaurant around! I order the beef baracoa chimichanga almost once a week if able. It is super spicy, not for those that can't take the heat, but it is my favorite. If you don't like spicy, the ground beef is very good took.

Every single dish was disgusting. There didn't seem to be anything authentic about this place. Probably some of the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten. The barbacoa was nasty. It tasted like they dumped a whole packet of chilli powder on it and called it flavor. It burned for days afterwards. The only thing that was good was our margaritas.

Food wasn't hot, cowboy beans were hard, chimichangas were not deep fried, sauce on chimichanga was not suppose to be there sent it back only to come back out with the sauce scraped off. Owner yelling at a customer telling her you ordered it I want you to pay for it. Never going back there, owner told me she was refunding my $72.47 that was almost 2 weeks ago. So I am putting my review back up on her site. She said if I would take it down she would refund my money. She can stop payment on the check if she ever sent it out. This owner clearly has an anger issues... UPDATE.. As you can all see this person should not even be an owner of a business with the reply that she just wrote. It has been 3 weeks with no check. If it were me I would want to show proof that the check was mailed out. You need to get a life and it is not running a restaurant.

IF I could give this place zero stars, I would! DON'T EAT HERE, save your money and go to the MANY other places that Woodruff and Minocqua have to offer! Where do I even start...this night was a somber one, due to a funeral the next day, our table (4) of us ordered our food, the Jalapeño muffins were ice cold! As we waited for our food, a table behind us had an issue, the enchiladas had cabbage all over the top, the woman didn't like that and wanted something else (it does not say there's cabbage on it, on the menu) the OWNER comes out says to the woman do you want something else, she said yes, owner literally was yelling at this woman so EVERYONE could hear, told her she ordered the meal, she would be paying for it, plus whatever else she ordered...couldn't believe it. Our food comes, not sure who the cook is, BUT they should really taste their food! I asked for my chimi with no sauce, it came with sauce, sent it back, it was back in 3m with the sauce scraped off, wasn't deep fried, the beans in it and on the side with the rice were so hard, we could barely stab them with our forks. We told the server all of the issues, and to be honest I think she was afraid to tell the owner, just kept saying ill let them know in the back. All of the meals had beans, there was no way we could eat what we had, hoping the mgr or owner to come over, but the waitress never told her, and after the argument with the other table, we just needed to leave. We called the next day and asked for a refund, with the owner doing a lot of yelling, she agreed to send a check for the refund, 11 days later, no check. We know alot of people in the North woods that won't be eating here anymore, hope all that was worth it for her. Should treat the customer way better then she did! STAY AWAY, DON'T waste your money, again so many AWESOME places to eat up there!!

The owner and the food is a joke, seriously if you own a restaurant, wouldn't you want to make customers happy so they come back? I mean i get, everyone has a bad day, but this woman, the owner, made a fool out of herself, yelling at woman that was seated behind our table, cheap cabbage was all over her enchiladas, heard the woman ask if they have lettuce, owner yelled back and said this is an authentic mexican restaurant, we dont have lettuce...she told the customer if she wanted something else, the customer would be paying for both meals. BUT at our table the beans were one of a few problems, the beans are put in just about every item, they we're so hard, they were NOT edible! I asked for my chimi without sauce on top, well it came with sauce, I sent it back, it came out 2m later with the sauce scraped off....WHAT, who does that, it wasn't deep fried like it said, so basically a burrito, we told the server a few times, she would only say I'll let them know in the back...none of it because of the beans could we eat, it was a somber night, due to a funeral the next morning, we paid the bill and left, none of us ate! The next day we called, got the owner on the phone, told her about our horrible meal, and asked for a refund, with ALOT of yelling, she agreed to send a check, 12 days later, no check! So on to filing a complaint with the BBB. This place doesn't care about their food, or their customers, first time ever that I've seen an owner yell at a table so EVERYONE in the place can hear! Very sad! DON'T EAT HERE, there are many other places in Woodruff and Minocqua that have GREAT food, and a great atmosphere that take pride in their food, this place DOES NOT!

Food not hot, cowboy beans were hard. Angry owner, yelling at a customer. Don't waste your time and money at this place
