We’ve had the pleasure of dining here several times…Celebrated birthdays, a couple holidays. Each time I have tried something new, usually one of the nightly specials. My husband primarily sticks with a ribeye. Each time has been excellent from libations, both the non & with alcohol choices (highly recommend the burnt sugar old fashioned) to service. Last night 3/20/2025 was beyond phenomenal….we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary & were treated like royalty. Serval selection made us feel like we were back in the southern Caribbean on our wedding day.
Thank you Chef Joe, grill master-Clyde, stellar server (and dear friend)- Jody and all the other team members for an unforgettable experience/ wonderful evening. Blood Orange Margaritas, Tikka Masala, Caribbean Scallops w/ mango sauce, hand cut Ribeye w/ Maple Bourbon reduction & blue cheese, homemade Coconut Cake w/ grilled pineapple ice. CHEERS!

Ordered the filet with haystack onions could not believe how bad it was…ordered it medium rare and received it almost raw any restaurant that charges 50+ for a steak there is no way it should not be cooked right. Mashed potatoes also tasted wierd prices aren’t listed for drinks for obvious reasons as we paid 15$ a drink for old fashions and Moscow mules….this place is trying to be something it’s not and I can’t believe people think this place is good

We went for New Year’s Eve and our dinner was phenomenal!! The N/A drinks were also amazing! Thank you so much for a wonderful night!

Went here for my anniversary dinner, first steak came out well well done, it was well cooked not even a line of pink, when I asked for medium rare. My husband was half way through his meal before the waitress came back over, and at first told me I ordered it medium well, I said no I didn't she pulled it back up and Oops I was right....she stumbled on her words for a moment and then said she would take it back to the kitchen. Apparently the kitchen staff agreed it was well done, she took my entire plate away, When my steak came back out it was cooked medium Rare and was delicious the 3 bites I took before asking for a box to go as my husband was finished. The icing on my anniversary dinner was taking my meal home to reheat to avoid the awkwardness of eating alone. Paying full price for our meal, and leaving this review. This isn't a place that takes kindly to sending your food back. Even if it was there mistake. Thanks for making it a memorable experience. Honestly I don't think I would go back, the overall experience was not worth the $$$$ we paid.

The only reason why I'm giving 2 stars for service is because of Northfork's policy about "no separate checks". We were a large group of 13, two families of four, two families of two and one single person. We were told that we had to divide the check "equally" among all credit cards; which of course caused some friction within our group.
Apparently Northfork would have preferred if we took up 5 different tables; versus allowing a split of our food/drink items. Because of this, unless it's just the two of us, versus the larger groups that we frequent Minocqua with, which provides significant income to the area, we won't be patronizing this establishment; which is a shame because the food was very good.

Food was absolutely stellar!!! Best. Dinner. Christie the hostess was fantastic and provided amazing service. Bar and table service, meh. Overall a good stop. Again, food makes it worth it. Must have the stuffed mushrooms and the steaks are locally sourced and perfect!!!

Very nice place. We did not have reservations..the place was packed for a Monday in October and the hostess found a way to take care of us..we were a party of two. Despite sitting at one end of a larger bar table, our wait staff was excellent! Only a couple minor gripes.. One was the old fashion brandy sweet my partner had...she said it was not good. My bar drink was fine! I had thw shrimp and scallops on mashed potatoes with mushrooms and a ceam sauce It was delicious! I didn't really understand why the shrimp's tails were still in shells but I dealt with it...it just made the dish less elegant as I had to get the shells off to eat the entire shrimp! The scallops were great!
I am sure we will go back again!

Our second time at the North Fork. They are always very busy, but we had a great experience both times. We dined both outdoor and indoor (at the bar, with full menu). Our absolute favorite dish is the prime rib: tender, cooked to perfection, flavorful. Extensive drink menu. Our go to are old fashioned and there are so many options to choose from. Blood orange and blackberry were our top choices. Incredible offering of desserts. We had the grasshopper and coconut cake. Delicious! The service was excellent, from the phone conversation about a reservation (none available when I called, but options were mentioned) to the bartenders. Quick, friendly, accommodating. The place was packed on Saturday evening, so it was pretty loud, but to be expected. Highly recommend North Fork. If you plan in advance, consider making reservations.
