We had family in town (group of 8) and wanted to go somewhere special & after hearing about this place- we wanted to try it. Our drinks were Good- lots of different choices. Our Food- was OK- we all were really disappointed because we wanted Prime Rib & it was out.Steaks were ok- on the tough side- and no flavor- for the price we expected much better.Everyone else said their food was good- but nothing worth raving about. We all agreed- that the prices were pretty high for what you got & the quality. Service- very slow (took 45 minutes to get our food), our waitress was not friendly or attentive. No bread/rolls- or any “table snacks”-- zip- everything is “extra”. Pretty much ruins the experience. We may go back- just to give it another try - but it’s not our Fav Northwoods Place.

First time going, lived up here for 10 plus years, amazing meal and drinks. The NY strip was amazing and cooked just the way I like it.My date had Moroccan noodle chicken dish, to which she also enjoyed alot.130 dollar bill for 2 people, I didn't realize a burnt sugar old fashioned sour with crown apple 12 a piece I had 2 and she had one old fashion that was 7 dollars, not complaining, i just know we normally pay 75 to 100 but have more then 3 drinks in total, after eatting like every where in the u.p. north woods, this is the most priced up place around

This was the most amazing dining experience! The food was excellent! We had stuffed salmon and ribeye steak, both of which melted in our mouths. After beginning with duck won tons and crab and lobster soup. The bread was soft and warm. All homemade by a cook who came out to greet his guests. The menu of drinks is extensive with flavors we've never experienced before created by the co-owner. We had a coconut margarita and a white chocolate raspberry martini. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive to customers. The decor was very cozy and wooded. A beautifully decorated canoe overhung the bar table. All customers were happily engaged in conversation. We give it 10 stars out of 5!! As Illinoians from the Chicagoland area known for its restaurants and cuisine, this restaurant would rival the best. If you're looking for somewhere in Minocqua to enjoy a comfortable delicious meal, this is the place to go! C.J. and Dave

Ashley, our server was top notch! Our party of 4 all had steaks and every one came out perfect and delicious. The enormous soft pretzel, with 3 dippers, was an experience onto itself. Highly recommend. And, though we took them to go, the desserts were absolutely amazing the next day. (Not another bite would fit that night). Especially my coconut cake with roasted pineapple ice cream.

"Pair" with side means pay for side. Some entrees include a side but many do not. Not until I received the bill did I realize that two meals had a $3 dollar upcharge and one meal was up charged $7 for a side. The broccolini was certainly not worth it. Entrees were fantastic (haddock, salmon). The desserts were not worth the $13. Put the price of dessert on the cheesy menu, please. Will go back but will pay closer attention to details.

Been here 3 times and it has been excellent every single! Got the New York strip and it was cooked to perfection and the flavor was amazing! Also, considering how busy this place always is, the staff is incredible! Very friendly and accommodating the there customers. 10 out a 10.

Drinks are severely overpriced. The "craft" Old fashioneds are not really old fashioneds at all. Food was ok, certainly not worth the price either. We gave it a try, won't be back, and would not recommend it, unfortunately.

Although the food was good (someone in our party had a stomach condition later that night and we he next day) the service leaves a lot to be desired. It seems to me the group we were with that she felt like she was doing us a favor.

Hubby and I made a trip to Northfork Fin and Filet on Saturday, 2/3 to celebrate my birthday. We'd dined at the restaurant once before but I did not remember how arrogant the restaurant employees were. In the Northwoods, WI area (where the restaurant is located), this year many of the businesses are struggling due to the lack of snow and cold temperatures. Some businesses have decided to close. Others are doing everything they can to keep folks coming in their front doors, being arrogant is not one of those things. Now don't get me wrong, the ambience and the food at this restaurant is fine, service was a tad below fine so it was okay to start. We waited for more than an hour and 10 minutes - about 30 minutes after we were done with our appetizers - for our entrees. Even though we were the first table to be sat in the dining room we noticed that some of the tables that were of larger groups and that had come in after us, were already getting their meals. We chatted with the management, who was a lil bent that we interrupted her, about our disappointment that our entrees were taking so long and she never apologized AND she made my hubby and I feel as if we were wrong for questioning the timing, that we didn't know anything about food service... We weren't born the day before, we had been around the block a time or a million. Anyway, we said we wouldn't be back.

This place, where do I start, food was out of this world good (fish fry, it wasn't your regular ole fish fry) brandy ole fashion crushed cherry may have been best drink I've ever had so far, the service was superb and the atmosphere was chill and relaxing. Not something I was expecting in Woodruff.

What a fantastic place! GREAT food, excellent service in a casual atmosphere. Went for dinner on 1/15/2024. Steaks, seafood, stuffed mushrooms and outstanding seafood chowder - everything was delicious! We will be back.
