Backdraft BBQ at Gresham Lodge

This was our first time visiting since the owner change. We were greeted before we even got into the restaurant by the chef! Everyone was very friendly and personable. Our food was brought out very timely. We ordered a sample platter, fish sandwich, and half rack of ribs. All entrees came with a side and fries. Everything was very flavorful and fresh. We were so full and wanted dessert which they packed up nicely for us to-go. We are definitely coming back and would highly recommend!! Come hungry!!

We had the fish and ribs, both excellent. Nice light cornbready texture to to fish and the ribs were done to perfection. Not fall off the bone over done, perfect dry rub. Also the BBQ sauces were very good if you m to use them, which i barely used since they were so flavorful already. Can't wait to try the smoked wings on their wing Wednesdays

Great place to relax by the fire after hiking the Trout Lake Trail. Clean and attentive service. Relaxing atmosphere with nice music and friendly service and guests. So happy to have discovered this gem! Started my dinner with a dessert appetizer of Break Pudding with a Whiskey Cream Sauce. Absolutely delicious! And a Chili Starter that was tangy with some heat. Perfect beginnings to the Filet on Tostini with Parmesan Cream Sauce. I ate that faster than a photo!

I've been riding up here for 40 years and thr new owners at Gresham lodge remind me of why I live this so much. great people and great food. definitely a place in my favorites

Had a great fish fry! Clam chowder was delicious. We had an order of Pollack and the Fish and Chips panfish. Both came with really good seasoned fries. The breading is light and doesn’t hide the fish. Will definitely be back this winter.

Our new favorite spot! Ribs, chicken wings, pulled pork and blackberry cheesecake burger were all on point! Staff was fun and friendly. We will definitely be going back!

My husband went to Popes for years with his grandparents. We love the true up north feel of this restaurant, so we decided to try it again after hearing of the new owners and we are so happy we did. We both had the Friday fish fry. it was great! All of the desserts sounded fabulous but I decided to try the caramel apple cheesecake. It was so good! The best part of the whole experience was the owners and staff. We felt welcome and will make it a regular stop!

Let me say first that I rarely write a bad review. I like promoting restaurants up north. I understand and can appreciate a bad night. It takes a really bad meal for me to write something.

I went here with guests for Friday night Fish Fry. We were excited to try it. We were extremely disappointed. I dislike rye bread immensely and it was the best thing I tasted there.

The Shark Bites appetizer was fishy and the sour chemically mango dip was gross.

The fish fry was tough and fishy. The clam chowder was watery. The burger was dry.

For over $20 for the fish fry wasn't even close to worth it. I had two small pieces and left nearly one whole piece. It might be all you can eat, but you won't want to.

I liked the location, the new chairs and tables and atmosphere. The staff was friendly. That's all the positives that I can muster.

I wish them well but we won't be back unless something changes.

Just had a burger, but it was solid. Fries were good, too. Nice, strong Paloma! Great service! However, need to do something about the ventilation. The whole restaurant smelled like oil and had a haze. It was a bit sickening and gave me a headache.

Food was terrible!! 2 of us had the ribs and were so spicy that we couldn’t even eat them!! Told the owner about the issue she brushed if off and said maybe it was just that Bach. Didn’t even offer a new serving even though it was all you could eat!! I paid the bill in full but I won’t be back after have an owner Not really care about customer service!! Also they charge $6 for a Pepsi and $9 for cheese cake Outrageously priced for bad quality!! We went elsewhere to eat afterwards!!

Unexpected find. Outstanding food and wonderful service. From the Ribs, to the Mac and Cheese with Brisket, to the Soup Flight to the Tenderloin Medallions, everything was on point. The Bread Pudding is a don't miss.

Food was amazing, fish and chips was the best I’ve ever had in the Northeoods and I’ve lived here my whole life! Service was impeccable, very nice and made sure you were taken care of! And don’t get me started on the desert! ALL HOME MADE!! Lemon Blueberry cheesecake was so fresh and delicious, to die for! Will be returning for sure.
