My wife and I eat here occasionally. We have NEVER had a bad meal nor less than pleasant service! This gem, off the beaten path, hands down puts all the lake restaurants to shame. Can't wait to visit again.

Bomb homemade pancakes made from scratch. I wish I was here for buckwheat season, because I'm sure those are phenomenal as well. I was traveling from Thomas to Morgantown, and I'm very lucky to have found this little gem, it's what I love about the open road! Cash only, but that just adds to the charm. I'll be back for sure!

This is a great little spot, but be careful or you may drive right by it and that would be a shame. The food was incredible and the staff was beyond polite.

So amazing!! A local from Davis West Virginia recommended this restaurant and it lives up to the hype, that a small town family restaurant deserves that serves food that is all homemade in size of your face. Thank you guys for taking great care of us and the food!

We made the trip down from our visit to Deep Creek Lake and we were not disappointed. The food and service were great. Carry cash, that's the only suggestion I have.

We stopped while on our way to a weekend get away in the mountains and the food was so good we stopped on the way back as well. It seems very much a community dining spot, but we were treated very kindly by the staff even if we were tourists. I had the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had and I've had it from south west WV to SW PA. The sweet tea was spot on. For future trips to this part of the state I will make sure to work Melanie's into our route.

I am hoping it was just an off day for them, but we didn't have a great experience. We got there just at the end of a rush, but got our drink order right away and placed our food order within 10 minutes. I got the lunch shrimp and fries and my husband got eggs, toast, potatoes and bacon. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. About 20 minutes after we got there, a large group of 10-12 people came in, placed their order and got their food about 20 minutes before us. We didn't order anything extravagant or crazy-breakfast and shrimp with fries. It took an hour for our food to come out. When we mentioned it, we got an "oh, was it that long?" The food was good and it was hot, but definitely not worth an hour wait. We were disappointed, the place always seems busy, so we thought service would be better.
