Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

I first went to Cheddar's years ago while working in Florida and I took my man for his first time, we had to return a week later! He was highly impressed. Amazing food and service as always!

Fries were really good. Burger wasn't cooked to temp i asked for, but they were busy, and no I didnt complain or send it back.

After a long weekend of travel and a surprise snowstorm, we opted to grab a quick bite of dinner before our last leg of the trip home.

Cheddar’s has always been consistent, and our girls love it, so we pulled in. The hostess greeted us immediately, and our server Andrew F (@cheddar’s if you’re watching, this guy deserves a raise) set us up with drinks and croissants.

We ordered, the kitchen killed it and had us eating in no time in weather that almost surely had them short staffed.

Not only was the service great and the promptness top notch, but the food was off the chart. I travel a good bit for work, and frequently take clients to steakhouses across the eastern US.

The sirloin I ordered was not only considerably cheaper, but cooked to perfection and the best tasting steak that I’ve had in quite some time. Two of my family members ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and the other ordered a Monte Cristo. The burgers were huge and nicely cooked, the breading on the Monte Cristo was exquisite and the fries were wonderfully seasoned.

Long story short, whoever is in charge of this restaurant understands leadership. Every member of the team is driving toward the goal of customer experience, and the experience was awesome. If you’re looking for a good meal in Beckley, WV: look no further.

We stopped here while on a roadtrip to NC. Prices were reasonable. My husband had the country fried steak and I had the Cajun Chicken Bowl. Both were great, although the Cajun chicken bowl could have used some heat! Our server was great.

The croissants were basically burnt and not enough butter or honey. The garlic bread that came with my pasta was tough and hard to chew.

Okay so the New New Orleans dish with the shrimp was horrible. The shrimp still had the shell on its tail.! The proportions was there with the shrimp. It’s just that the tail was still left on left a sour taste in my mouth. I’m from South Carolina but we make sure our food is properly serve call me proper

This was my first visit to Cheddar's but it will not be my last. Such a wonderful place. The menu has all the choices to suite a variety of tastes. The appetizers were so good. The entrées were delicious. We had more than enough food. So good!!
