The Mothman Coffee is 👍
This place is so cute, and the employees are wonderful. The ice cream is fantastic!!
We did the mini golf. The signs around each hole were very informative and fun. Other than the trees dropping stuff on the course, it was a great time.
CM feels like home. Every single person thar works here is absolutely amazing!
Quite the hidden gem in Beckley! Super kind staff and wonderful selection of gourmet drinks to fuel you on your journey. Eclectic atmosphere with a community vibe. Coffee was amazing!
This place was seriously cool! Between the climbing gym and the mini golf, we were honestly blown away — I wasn’t expecting it to be so big. The miniature golf course was surprisingly expansive, winding down the hill and offering some great views. There's also a beautiful deck out back that adds to the vibe.
The staff were all incredibly sweet and seemed genuinely excited that we had discovered this hidden gem. We even got to meet the resident cat (didn’t catch his name, but he was just as friendly as everyone else)!
We ordered two coffees: a hot caramel latte and a dark chocolate mocha with a hint of orange — both were absolutely delicious. For food, he went with a breakfast bagel loaded with avocado, bacon, and egg, and he devoured it. I wasn’t in the mood for breakfast, so I got a lunch bagel with turkey, bacon, cheese, and lettuce — super fresh, crispy, and totally satisfying.
Big thanks to everyone at Chocolate Moose — we’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend it to anyone passing through!
We were visiting. Went the first time and got drinks, played scrabble, and mini golfed. Went back two days later and had 2 different drinks and played rummikub. What a great place.
I come to Beckley once every year or so, and the coffee is great, but the people who work there REALLY care about their community. I witnessed the way they dealt with an elderly gentleman who is a regular there, and without going into detail, it was above and beyond in the way they helped him. My son LOVED the climbing wall, and really trusted the person working with him. He was able to do things he has never done before. It is a for sure stop every time we are down. Oh, and GOOBER THE CAT. He is a little no neck treasure of a cat- make sure you show him the love when you come by!
I was looking for a place halfway between Lewisburg and Charleston with things for kids to do. The Chocolate Moose was perfect. Our bunch of three adults and six kids was a lot - a lot of noise, and a lot of energy. The staff handled our coffee (delicious!) and ice cream requests with patience and smiles. Because of The Chocolate Moose a crew of kid cousins who don’t get to visit with each other very often had a great afternoon together playing mini golf, eating ice cream and playing board games. We will be back as soon as we can.
The girl with long black hair was very rude and cruel to my child talked bad about my child and my mother, she talked to her other co worker there and was very rude saying she makes the rules around there and being rude, chocolate mousse used to be a place you take your children and the manager is so worried to have Starbucks there but isn’t doing enough to hire teenagers that aren’t rude and not helpful for your child, who ever her parents are they need to teach their child how to act in the workforce! I’m a paying customers and you will not treat my child like they are below you because she has no morals or respect for other people.

Really cool selection of drinks and a cool location in the mountains with a mini golf course and climbing wall. Friendly staff who have no problem with customizations. Seating area is unique and cozy.

Coffee and Teas good but the longest i have ever waited for one item from a coffee shop. Be prepared to wait 45 minutes for one drink.

It's been a few years since we've been here, but we still talk about how amazing it was. We loved the interesting rock climbing routes and rope ladders. And we loved being able to get ice cream afterwards ?
The only thing missing was being able to collect a belay tag from here ? Looking forward to making another trip over here - for sure. Also, husband said next time we should try out the mini golf.

My favorite to get from here is always the Monkey Business. I got extra espresso this time and it definitely needed that extra kick. Love coming here when I can!
