Visited in October 2014. At Dobra Zupas in Beckley, WV, one West Virginian beer was available on tap, but no local bottles were offered. Despite this, the beer selection was quite impressive. The place was bustling during our visit, so we were directed to dine upstairs where we found ourselves dining alone. The Aloha sandwich we ordered was quite satisfactory.

My review is pertaining to Dobra Zupas catering service. This is not for an actual restaurant experience. In the summer of 2022 I made the decision to get married at The Gaines Estate. Dobra Zupas happens to be their in-house caterer, so I decided to go with who my venue recommended. The food was fantastic and Dobra Zupas provided the service that we paid for. However, throughout the process of wedding planning, Dobra Zupas was extremely difficult to get ahold of when trying to finalize my menus for the rehearsal and reception. When I received my invoice for the food, it had to be corrected…three times. In addition, the portion sizes at the rehearsal dinner were quite small for what we paid for. Overall, the food was wonderful and this business obviously uses high quality ingredients, but the catering management is very unorganized, which often came off as unprofessional when trying to prepare for my wedding.

Greg and the team at Dobra have taken this place to a new level. It was always good, but the service level and food quality are better than it’s ever been. It’s become a Beckley favorite and for good reason.Try the goat cheese burger - out of this world.
Wow what can I really say about this place. We called at the last min for a party of 20 and boy did this place deliver. Great service and food. Thank you so very much and we will be back.

Crab fondue and Chicken vegetable risotto were wonderful as well as the WyCo Wheat craft beer. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. So good we went back the next day.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent value. Last minute choice for 20 people. The staff came in early to help and did a fantastic job. We bought many of the menus items and every one of them were generous portions, expertly prepared and delicious. The build was beautiful, the music was good and the vibe was perfect for our ages ranging from 4 y/o to 80 y/o.

I wish I could rate higher!!!As a group of eight, who had never been here before (living four Hrs. away), we showed up on a whim because Google said they had cheesesteak sandwiches... My best friend's wife was hellbent on a cheesesteak sandwich sometime during our vacation. ??Mildly concerned at first, due to the smaller size of the restaurant and the number of current patrons, those concerns were quickly put to ease!!! A single hostess not only kept up with current customers but also rearranged the dining room tables to fit our party and had us seated within a few short minutes. The turnaround time from ordering to eating was excellent, and the amazing service continued throughout our visit. If you're traversing the WV Turnpike and need a great meal, look no further!!!

We thought this would be a great place to go since the ratings were high, but based on our experience, the stars do not reflect our experience.Waited ten minutes to get seated when there was only one other family of 5 in the dining area. Our warning should have been the guy ahead of us waited for 20 mins to be seated.We ordered 3 sandwiches 1 pita wrap all that should be fairly quick orders. We waited an hour for our food.. when again, there was only one other family at the restaurant and a few ppl at the bar. One of our orders were incorrect. Asked for sandwich to be on a bun & they put it on a pita bread. We asked for napkins twice.. and never received them.If the service was poor on a non-busy night (at like 4:45pm), then I’d hate to see what it would be like at other times.

Dobra’s has ALWAYS been a go-to restaurant for Beckley! Amazing food, fantastic brews and the staff to match! Pro tip: for a killer date night request tge small, intimate room upstairs for two when making a reservation! Greg and his staff do great job of carrying on the legacy of their beloved founder and owner who passed away recently.
