My husband of 17 years asked me out on a date and so we decided to go somewhere we have never been before. While searching on Google for restaurants near us we came across this one, because we love looking for authentic Japanese food (given the fact we lived in Japan for 4 years). We have seen this place from the outside for many years but never went in because it looked somewhat low quality given its location and simple sign (you know judging a book by its cover. Shame on us). As we entered the doors we where very surprised to see a beautiful atmosphere for the dining. We were very happy with the service and the food was as close to authentic as we have found through the whole state. IT WAS DELICIOUS! (I recommend the black samurai roll if you do not like true sushi). They were super apologetic for a mishap with my food and were eager to correct and fix the issue. The price of the food is so worth what you get. If you have never been here and you like good Japanese (and other asian) food, DO NOT miss out on this gem right here in Beckley!Kid-friendliness: O10

First the food absolutely delicious, we had steak and shrimp and filet and shrimp. ? delicious delicious. Only downfall in their food is there yum yum sauce it taste like a nail salon lol.Second the service, that’s why I rated 4 star instead of 5 ⭐️ because the service was very lacking. We had empty drinks for 30 mins.And finally 3rd, this restaurant is the cleanest restaurant I have been to in the Beckley area. Great job on your cleaning skills.

The food and service is great and if you can get a booth the overall experience is amazing. Sitting at a table in the middle of everything feels crowded and not a lot of privacy.
Pretty sure the guys skimmed my debit card here?? You KEEP what you GIVE AWAY. You don't get by taking. That's why it's better to give than receive. Did your possessions truly satisfy? No, they never do. I guess that's what you get for being a pleasant customer who orders a lot and tips really well. ◀️Beware if you do this, they are watching for 'an easy mark' 'who has money.'

Just ordered 4 boba drinks and only one had pearls and 3 others had jellys ….cmon if u dont have pearls how come u put jellys….If im to work as a front of housekeeper, i would specifically let the customer know that boba pearls are over + the drinks were super duper sweet.But the pad Thai and the shushi had a perfect touch of work …Please do treat ur customers better than this and customer retaining is much important.Thanks

"It's a sushi restaurant in West Virginia, you need to go in with reasonable expectations", is what I would say, if the prices were more affordable.Instead you'll end up spending $40 on 3 poorly rolled sushi rolls, some slathered in sauce, a tasteless veggie curry, and strange cream cheese wontons.Maybe just go to Cook Out instead?
