Awsome food! Fabulous service! Great atmosphere. We took my aunt here for her 90th birthday. I had steak marsala which came with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. The wine sauce was delicious. My wife had the swordfish special. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. I can't say enough about our server, who was awesome. Expect the best and plan to spend a little money.

The atmosphere, food and experience is always a treat. The servers are very well trained and most of the staff has worked here for many years. When we travel, we rarely (if ever), find a better steak. When vendors, clients, family, etc come in to town everyone wants to eat The Char!

Our server, Shanda, was lovely, personable, and explained the menu very well. We came with 3 kids (ages 10, 8, & 6). Even though this is a more formal affair, our kids were excepted and we never felt out of place. Our kids are kids, but are well behaved. The food and portions were more than enough. EVERYTHING tasted amazing!!!

We travel from Houston to Augusta, KY and then on to Conover, NC. We found the Char last year when we googled Beckley restraints so we definitely timed our trip right this year to enjoy a wonderful dinner again. We definitely will be back again! Service fantastic and food is delicious!
