We’ve been customers for years but we won’t be back. The quality has steadily declined over the last 5 years and we’ve tried to be patient, but recently food quality has Plummeted sharply. We ordered our favorite Land & Sea Burger, which has always been a 1/4lb burger with a lump crab cake on top. Today, it was a very small burger (didn’t even cover the whole bun) and a very thin smear of crab dip the size of a 50 cent piece. Definitely NOT WORTH THE MONEY. When the waitress delivered them, I asked “What did we pay for because this is Not a crab cake.” She walked away without answering & didn’t make eye contact or ask how it was for the rest of the meal. Extremely Disappointing Experience.
This restaurant is in the parking lot of the best Western hotel. Unfortunately, as other people have mentioned there is lack of signage for the restaurant and for the hotel. It’s hard to figure out how to get there and where it is. But once you turn off the main road and go up the hill, you’ll see a little sign for the hotel and then you’ll find the restaurant. The restaurant has enough parking because it’s shared with the hotel. And this restaurant was part of the hotel at some point because attached to it is an outdoor swimming pool. There are cats, maybe they’re feral cats or maybe they’re not. But they roam the parking lot and the shrubbery around the Angus and Ale restaurant and like to hide underneath parked cars. We stayed the Best Western and asked at the front desk for recommendations on restaurants for dinner, and not one person at the Best Western mentioned the Angus and Ale which is steps away from the front door of the hotel. We found that quite interesting. And when we checked into the hotel, we had no clue that the Angus and Ale was right there in the parking lot because again there was no signage and we just thought it was the banquet hall for the hotel because the swimming pool was attached in the back. Next time we are in Berkeley Springs we will try this restaurant! As reviews from other TripAdvisor commentators seem to love the food and the service.

Don't let the humble appearance and lack of signage of this place deter you. It's in the parking lot of the Best Western hotel. We had a very nice dinner here. Staff was cordial and efficient and we thought the prices were reasonable. My husband enjoyed the chili and ribs. I had a fantastic bacon cheeseburger. The deep FRIED bacon on top was delicious!! We'll be back if we're ever in the area again.
Having eaten here the past, I chose Angus & Ale for my birthday dinner. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. However, it has probably about a year since we had eaten there. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. They had updated their menu, which means the prices were updated, too. We always start out with the alligator tail bites. They were tasty, as always. However, it was a smaller portion , for a dollar more. I understand, it’s the economy. Since it was $.75 wing night, we each got a dozen. A good deal. My companion’s were dry. Mine, the garlic Parmesan, were moist, but not much flavor. We both got the sweet potato fries. They were good, but the portion was about 1/2 the amount as before. The locals seem to gather here, but unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
For being a steak place and only have 1 steak on menu little to no seasoning on the steak

Service is a little slow, but food is good and at a very affordable price.
A bit disappointed by this place. I come every year for a conference and have eaten there a few times. I opted for the country fried chicken and mashed potatoes. ( I mean I’m in WV right). The chicken was a boneless breast that was not smashed out flat when preparing so it had to be way over deep fried to get it done in the middle. The potatoes tasted like they came straight from a box and the gravy was unremarkable. The waitress was friendly and the location convenient.

Nothing to rave about here. Food was alright (wings were the best we experienced out of our entire dinner) but its clear not much is homemade. Everything felt like it was a frozen item thay got reheated. Lots of items on the menu was scratched out and unavailable. Also, it took 45 minutes on a Tuesday night to get dinner for 3, wasn't offered any refills. Place was clean but outdated, definitely is a home to the locals. We come through the area regularly but this will not make our list of places to return.
