Did not stay there as was just day-tripping .But the staff treated us like guests. Great location ,great hiking and a miniature golf kids age 4-5-11 enjoyed a lot and a decent playground . Mothers day and the restaurant was filled but they did try to see if they could fit our group of 7 in but the time was later then we wanted . Will camp or stay at lodge next time . As we are only a few hours away we were just checking it out .
The Lodge is absolutely fantastic. Did not stay in a room, but the restaurant is amazing. The service is great, and the people are so friendly. The food is excellent as well as the view. Highly recommend.
This review is about the PARK, see separate review about the Lodge and Restaurant. The park has excellent scenery, hiking trails and a motel and restaurant. A recreational man made lake was added about twenty years ago. Camp sites, some with full RV hookups. WARNING: if you are visiting with a large land yacht you should note that both approach routes (either from Cairo or Harrisville WV) are very twisty roads with numerous sharp switchbacks.
