Love this hidden gem! I usually get a mocha coffee with the little chocolate covered coffee bean they put on top. Everyone is so nice. Great place to stop and buy local.

A sampling of Jane and Joe mountain blend was provided at our vacation house. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to stop by here to buy some to take home with us. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! The drinks and pastries we ordered while we were there were top notch!

We stopped here almost every morning while on vacation! The coffee concoctions, the fresh pastries and the sandwiches were *chef’s kiss* All the employees were friendly and professional! 10/10 would recommend.

Great coffe and croissant

The people are very nice and their sandwiches are so yummy, but I was not impressed with the coffee. Every drink they made for me tasted somewhat flavorless/watered down even on the first sip. I definitely need to try more to make an accurate judgement, but honestly it hasn’t been worth the price so far.

What also blew me away was that this past time I bought 4 sandwiches and two coffees + tip…it came out to be $50. I understand the times we are in now, but that’s just an insane amount of money to me for cafe food. All in all, cute shop, nice people, good food, but coffee and prices did not impress me.

Joan + Joe Coffee is absolutely heavenly (I’ve never described a coffee shop like this before). It’s located in a small house off of Charles Town Road. Parking is behind the house. You walk through the front door of the house and right into a waiting area. There are no inside tables, but there are picnic tables and porta potties in the backyard of the house (behind all the parked cars).

Typically I do not order food when I am coffee shop hopping, but the menu had a sandwich called Bacon Jam Turkey Deli Delight with a description that read, “There is no equal.” Any sandwich with bacon jam and a description like that CANNOT be turned down. It was the best sandwich I have devoured in quite a while.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a little chocolate covered coffee bean sitting on the lid of my cup when I was handed my cortado. The unexpected gesture put a big smile on my face. The best part of the experience was the cortado; perfect temperature and ratio.

Walking out of the shop I noticed Joan + Joe Coffee was named the Best Shop in West Virginia for 2023 by the WV Living Magazine. They definitely earned the title Best Coffee House.

This is 100% the best local place for coffee! I made a point to try several local coffee shops within the same week, ordering the same thing, and Joan and Joe surpassed all of their competitors! The staff are super friendly. Their retail area is super cute and they also had local sourced floral bouquets.

Very excited to try out what I'm sure will be a tasty fall menu coming soon!
