Our first visit to Hillbrook will not be our last!! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The food was excellently prepared and delicious. The shrimp and scallop pasta and the filet were both beautifully seasoned. The Brussel sprout and cauliflower appetizer was perfect-probably one of the best preparations of Brussels we've ever had. Such a lovely spot for a special occasion!
Such a cozy dining space. The Brussel sprout and cauliflower appetizer was delicious! The filet with squash puree and fingerling potatoes was delicious! The brandy sauce that accompanied the filet paired so well with the fall flavors of the dish. The wine was exceptional though pricey. I suggest offering some more mid-range selections. The service was outstanding despite a few minor mix ups. The waitress handled them professionally and apologetically and our meal was still delightful. I would definitely recommend dining here for special occasions or just a special treat!
It was true dining - beautiful surroundings, great food, wonderful service. The restaurant is divided into several dining rooms so it doesn't feel crowded and it is quiet. We will definitely return.
Upon ordering appetizers, we were told that two of the three items were no longer available as the menu was “switching” over. Wine list was extremely expensive (average $250 per bottle). We ordered lamb chops which was one of only five items on the menu. Unfortunately, the salad, lamb chops, nor dessert were very flavorful. After waiting 30 minutes to pay. Their credit card machine was down. Had cash, thankfully. The entire experience was disappointing.
My friend and I were there on a Monday evening (we were staying at the Inn), and there was only one other table in the restaurant. The menu was somewhat limited -- salmon, steak, lamb (which we had) and a vegetarian pasta -- but the food was fresh and of high quality. A cheese plate was offered as an appetizer, but since we wouldn't eat cheese before a main course, we had it for "dessert" and it was superb. The wine list was extraordinarily extensive and had wines in the $500 range (!). They were out of the moderately priced Lirac that we requested, but they served us a Catena Malbec (my second choice) for the price of the Lirac. Breakfast came with the rooms, and it was unbelievable -- one of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere, with an extensive menu of gourmet options. At both dinner and breakfast, the service was outstanding.
Such a wonderful place. It's a cute inn, with a nice bar to have a cocktail before dinner. The chef tasting was spectacular! They made adjustments for being pescatarian, which is always much appreciated. The waitress was super nice and knowledgeable.
We had a very enjoyable time at the Hillbrook Inn Restaurant. Christian, the manager, was so welcoming and attentive throughout our visit. He reserved a table for us by the cozy fireplace and prepared a "Fall Sangria" that was absolutely delicious ! Jesse, our server, was such a pleasure and made sure our dining experience was superb. The scallop dish was to die for as well as the affogato dessert. We highly recommend the inn for delectable food, excellent service, and a night full of laughs.
The scallop was amazing. The ravioli was amazing. The tenderloin was the worst I've ever had, sharpen your teeth before coming. It was advertised as wagyu which they meant as American wagyu and maybe it was but it was so tough I wouldn't believe it would grade Choice. The desert was advertised as a "chocolate bomb" cake, however, we were served some half frozen and half gelatin apple concoction. My date enjoyed it but I found it somewhat bland and not a very good finish to the meal. Also of note, I did mention the tenderloin was tough and asked where the sourced it from to which I believe they said Snake River Farm. And now this may be a coincidence but exactly as we were passing by another couple on our way out the same waiter I voiced my displeasure to asked them how they enjoyed their tenderloin. I try not to be too cynical but it seemed convenient timing. Maybe service, ambience, the well executed, prior courses or some other combination of factors can make one overlook the tender in tenderloin but for me it ruined the meal.
Very unfriendly and a long ggg drive down a gravle road. I dine out several times a week and would not recommend this place! ?

The chef is a master craftsman. The food was epic, I can't even find the words to describe how incredible everything was. You could really feel the love and passion that was put into every bite. The mixologist is an ARTIST! The best cocktails I have ever had. The service was perfect. We were quietly and thoughtfully attended to and generously looked after. The Redbook is so romantic and warm. But hey ladies, just a heads up - there's a gravel parking lot and driveway you have to cross through and then up into the dining space is a tight little staircase. Normally not an issue in regular shoes but my poor six inch heels had their work cut out for them. All that being said, this is our favorite restaurant. It's modestly elegant and charming. The staff even had a firepit going on a cool evening, so lovely.

Very cute place. The table and chairs we sat at weren't comfortable at all. It was very warm in the restaurant. The food was good with excellent wine pairing. The short ribs were a little spicy but still good. Would have liked them to be less spicy though. We sat and were talking for some time. We just spent $500 on food when someone came up to our table and asked us everything ok because we had been sitting there for some time. For someone who just spent $500 on dinner, a simple, “would you like some more coffee?” or “would you like to see the desert menu?” Would have been a better way to see if everything was ok. We would have stayed longer if she had addressed us a little more invitingly and not make us stop our conversation acting like there was a problem with us converting for awhile. Not the way people who just spent all that money on dinner should be addressed. Dinner was good and our waiter was great. I'm not sure who came up to our table st the end but they should be trained on how to properly address customers without making them feel like there should be a problem present if we're sitting there for awhile, talking. They weren't closing up nor were they short seating. I see no reason we should have been asked if there was a problem while enjoying our evening up to that point.
The food at Hillbrook Inn is second to none. The beef tenderloin medallions were seared and seasoned to perfection. Easily one of the best dinners I've had. And the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon for breakfast was an amazing way to start the day. We hope to come back soon.
One of the best meals of my life. Location, staff, food was outstanding. A real treat for a special occasion. Inside Holbrook Inn which is equally as amazing.
Dietary restrictions: They were very careful and willing to accommodate.

Great staff, service & food! We had a wonderful time celebrating our wedding anniversary at Hillbrook Inn! They even accommodated my gluten allergy! We will be back! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
A gorgeous setting deep in the woods with superb service and exquisite courses. We also tried several cocktails I've had around the country and overseas and your bartender made them as good as anywhere. This was a truly first class experience all around and we will be back.
