Honestly, I rarely do reviews but this dinner was the best so far on our road trip across Kentucky and now West Virginia. We had met Nick who works in the kitchen the day before who gave us the recommendation and he was spot on. Really great food with the correct portions. Cocktails were awesome from Derek who was attentive and super knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend this to anyone in the Charleston area to dine at.I’m not surprised that the chef/restaurant is nominated for a major award.Keep up the great work.

We ate there 2 evenings during the WV Coal show and this place is awesome. From appetizers to dessert everything was spot on. I wish I could remember the awesome manager who came out to get us seated at the bar after we had decided to leave because of the fact we showed up without a reservation and the place was packed mid week and we were told there would be a wait. We learned our lesson and made reservations for the next time.

Absolutely amazing. The entire family loved the food, atmosphere & service. It could not have been any better in anyway. We all tried each others dishes and everyone agreed it was all fabulous. If they are offering the Mushroom bisque as a special, this is a MUST have item. My 9 year old loved it too. We are planning another trip to Charleston, WV just to eat here again. 1010 Bridge (which is also the address) will be added to our family’s favorite list. Don’t miss out!

Main dish wasn't bad but paid $15 for 5 thawed out Walmart shrimp that left me feeling unsatisfied. I'm still hungry.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while, and definitely wish I had made it here sooner. Food and service was excellent! Only minor complaint on atmosphere was the noise level - it's very packed in and rather loud, so not exactly ideal if you want a romantic date night, which is unfortunate given that otherwise it's perfect for that. Not sure if they could put some acoustic panels on the ceiling or do something else without killing the look, but it might be worth trying. While it's a bit pricey by West Virginia standards, it's not obnoxiously overpriced like some fancy places, and it's absolutely worth every penny. I got the "1010 Cut" steak, which comes with candied Brussel sprouts and lobster mac & cheese. The steak was very good, but the lobster mac stole the show - it challenges lobster mac I had when I lived in Maine. And it wasn't too heavy from being overloaded with butter or heavy cream or such. Appetizer wise we kept it simple, with the zucchini chips - I thought they could've been cut a touch thicker, but they were still good so no real complaints. My dinner partner liked their salmon dish a lot. We did the chocolate silk tart for dessert, and it was perfect to end on. Just like the lobster mac, it was rich in flavor but not too heavy feeling, so we actually had room for it. Definitely adding this to the list of places that I'll consider taking visitors!Parking: It's mostly street parking here, and with several restaurants around, it can be challenging to find a spot around peak dinner time. Come a bit early in case you have to hunt for a spot.Kid-friendliness: Finer dining, so not really the type of restaurant to take young kids.

Late dinner reservation was a perfect dining experience. It was quiet, appetizer and dinner was great. Fried oysters, pork belly, the steak and lobster Mac, definitely compliments to the kitchen. Must stop in my opinion.

Sat at the bar. Super friendly & attentive staff. Food was really good! The only problem I encountered was that hubby & I decided to share our main plates in order to get to try more from the menu & they charged us an extra $3 a shared plate without telling us that is the policy. They offered to split the plates for us, I told them I didn't mind either way but it didnt occur to her that since I didnt mind sharing from the same plate that maybe I wouldn't want that extra charge. It's not a huge deal just wish they would've told us bc it felt a little sneaky.Would come back but won't get plates split lolOrder the Nashville Hot Oysters, you wont regret it!?

I grew up in South Hills many years ago and we didn't have anything close to the quality of 1010 Bridge St back then. An amazing dining experience, every dish was expertly crafted down to the tiniest detail with the end result being a gastronomic bonanza!! Took my mother and my grandchildren for dinner - it was wonderful. Wish I could get back sooner!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Another fantastic meal. 1010 never ceases to exceed expectations. Chef Paul, Aaron and the staff consistently put out innovative and consistent food in a great atmosphere. There is a reason Chef Paul was up for a Beard Award.

We were thoroughly impressed with each Chef created course we were served. I enjoy cooking at home but this experience taught me the difference between a home cooked meal and Chef created dish. The attention to small detail from the flavored butter for the bread, to each drop of seasoning or garnish on the plate, worked harmoniously to curate a beautiful and delicious dinner experience, that we will be taking about for months to come. Thank you to the entire staff for making our anniversary dinner so memorable. I look forward to visiting Charleston and your restaurant again. You are a credit to your city.
