Service was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly. We ordered appetizers of pepperoni rolls, and Bavarian pretzel. Our friend got the Buffalo pulled chicken sandwich. She said it was good, it wasn’t super tangy; the flavors were mellow for a Buffalo sauce. The pretzel was the best we’ve had in Charleston; soft and just a hint of sweet. The three sauces all went well - our favorite was the beer cheese. The pepperoni rolls were over hyped in our opinion. They’re not bad, but kind of bland. Not alot of flavor but plenty of cheese and pepperoni.

Found this charming little spot while driving through the state at lunchtime. (We always prefer to try small businesses.) Quirky and fun space, high ceilings, and maps, plus the books, piled on every available surface in no particular order, browsing definitely part of the fun here. (I bought three!) Service was friendly. Food was excellent. Soup and salad, and the white bean chicken soup was amazing!! My only beef is that not everyone (me) likes beer, which is the main alcoholic drink here in great variety. So for us, stock some nice wine too! The house Cabernet was Proverb, an overly sweet and fruity wine. When I tried to buy a glass of the far superior wine, Earthquake by Michael David, I was told they only sell it by the bottle. Okay, I'll buy the bottle and take the unfinished with. Nope. Owner won't allow, even though WV has a "doggy bag" law permitting, so no wine for me. Owner, please seriously consider changing your policy.

Me and my wife were there tonight looking around, and we had stopped to look for a coupon to check out because we knew it was getting close to closing time. One of the associates walked up to her and said very loudly and rudely “ are you looking for anything” and the proceeded to say very loudly and rudely well we close in 15 mins. I had a few things set to pick up but we decided to go to our local one to get because of how rude he was. He really needs to work on his customer service.

Absolutely terrible, all around. Ordered a pepperoni pizza and the dough was raw. And when I pointed it out the waitress rolled her eyes and grabbed the pizza from me and just left. I really use to like them but the staff is rude and the food is subpar.

This is the most laid back restaurant with an AMAZING selection of gently used books. I'm not a huge fan of eating out, but this was more than dinner, it was like a mini experience. Having said that, the food was beyond words. So, you have ZERO reason not to check this place out as soon as you have the chance!!

My daughter and I stopped in for lunch on our way home to Parkersburg. She ordered the burger and fries. I got the Italian sub and chips. She said her burger was really good. The fries were good - nice crunch and flavor to them. I really enjoyed my sub. I think it was one of the best Italian subs i've had - nice thick slices of ham. i wish the books were more accessible. I will go back.
Good American food with something for everyone. Beer selection is not to be missed.
