Food was incredible and the servers were so so kind to us. Best ribs and bbq I have had in a very very long time and one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. Wish I could give 6 stars because 5 is not enough

Can’t say enough about the staff at this restaurant!! Neala jones, the catering manager went above and beyond to help me throw my daughter’s reception.. We had a few hiccups at the last minute and they were able to pivot quickly and fill in for us averting a disaster on the day … They are knowledgeable, friendly, and I highly recommend them.. Not to mention, the food is excellent! If I could give 10 stars, I would!!

Okay today was the first day visiting Bowles BBQ in Sissonsville....A+++++....Off The Hook The Number 1 in my book now. Words can not describe this place except for OUTSTANDING!!!! the brisket sandwich with onion rings was my choice and so so tender, taste is great, husband got Philly cheese steak and fries...if you want a true Philly cheese then this is where you wanna be at and experience theirs...my sister got hotdogs and fries, she said they was great and fries was perfect...my niece got phillycheese steak and fries, she said I have been searching for years for a great Philly cheese steak and I have found it---she even told our awesome great waitress Autumn she had been searching and today she found it. My sister and niece are from South Carolina so they made sure they bought 2 bottles of their favorite sauce today. The bread pudding was great and on point to old fashion grandmas bread pudding. So I highly recommend anyone and every to go check this place out. Very clean, pretty decorations, very awesome,sweet, nice, on point waitress, the owner was a nice guy and I asked him please think about coming to Poca and my sister suggested Florence,SC so they could patronize his business. Highly recommend.. oh the appetizers was deep fried mushrooms, deep fried pickles and jalapeño poppers...all was great tasting and perfect prepared.

For years, I have looked for a cheesesteak with the cheddar cheese sauce, the chewy gooey kind of cheesesteak and I finally found it; it was worth the wait! 😋
This little roadside gem has all the charm and delicious eats! We had the Fried Pickles, Fried Mushrooms, and Jalapeño Poppers all yummy and crunchy! 🍽

Great BBQ place, nothing fancy but, excellent food. Tender ribs and wonderful home made sauces. (Try the WV Gold). They had a superb strawberry cake the day I was there, yummy.

Im 35 weeks pregnant and had a craving for brisket, my fiance and I just moved to the area so I dragged him to this place. The brisket was absolutely amazing, and the mac and cheese side was the best ive ever had! Its also a nice touch that the chef brings the food out to you and makes sure everything tastes okay. You can tell he really takes pride in his cooking! Definitely will be returning.
This has always been a great place for bbq. The food is fantastic, and the newly remolded interior is top-notch. Keep up the good work!

This was a much-appreciated stop on our long road trip from Ohio to Georgia! I was hoping for a good BBQ stop on our way down, and fortunately my husband found this place online as we were looking to make a stop… It was family friendly—we have our 14-month-old and 3.5-year-old daughters in tow. Spacious tables with high chairs available, changing table in the women’s bathroom, and friendly server. Great menu with kids’s options, and the best part was the food itself! It came fast and delicious… everyone enjoyed their food; my pulled pork was outstanding, and while there were multiple tasty BBQ sauce options to try, the standpoint is their house BBQ! Good size portions with plenty of sides, everything reasonably priced. Exceeded what I was hoping for, and the whole family had a great experience… thank you!
