Walked out before being served. Standing there and they didn't even make eye contact. Looks like understaffed overworked problem
The fish dinner was great and hot when it came out. Cashier was very helpful and made sure we had all we needed.

I waited 30 minutes in the drive through to order and receive my order. I didn’t mind the wait so much because the food was fresh and hot (besides the fries) but my experience tanked when I arrived home and realized neither my husband nor I received our coleslaw. It is extremely disheartening to pay nearly $40 for food and tip at a “fast food” restaurant and not be given exactly what was ordered when I was made to wait an extreme amount of time for drive through service.

There is nothing negative I can say. The food was delicious as always. I had the fish and chicken with Mac n cheese and green beans. The green beans were seasoned just right. The young lady who took my drive thru order and worked the window was very polite. It was an overall wonderful and pleasant experience. Plus they were fast in giving me my order!!!

Expensive, I went through the drive thru Wednesday the 5th of February around noon and the Gothic chicken working the window was rude. Not only rude, but she needs to see a dentist. Don't work the window if you have an attitude ma'am

Do not eat anything at the Captain D on Kanawha blvd in Charleston WV. The fish was raw and when I took it back the cook automatically coped an attitude with me and was exceptionally RUDE. This type of service is unacceptable to have an employee yell at a customer through the window and act like she did. We won’t go back
One of the few places you can get grilled fish with a shrimp skewer and not break the bank.

I'm not going to be back for a long time because I am not getting my money's worth on the sides. Yall need to give a larger portion of fries. All of our sides of french fries were puny, like 10 little fries. And they were cold. At cracker barrel and most places I can get much larger portions of the sides of fries.
Typical fast food joint. Atmosphere is what it is. Service was kind and friendly. The food was pretty good. I tried the lobster roll, and it was tasty. The dish came with hushpuppies and some sort of other battered fish and fries. You can't beat it for $5.95 .
It's worth a try if you're a fast food foodie.

Friendly, clean, delicious! So much better than Long John Solver's (LJS).

Food was greasy. The girl behind the counter kept playing with her hair and wS on the phone while I waited for the order. We did have an order for 8, so there was a lot of food

Ordered coleslaw with our meals then told us the were out as soon as we was done with our order then asked for sauce two times bc the worker kept forgetting what we said and we only got two sauces and the vinager wasent in the packet but instead in a bowl and poured out all over our food and got a side of fries and only had 5 fries in there. Small portions and paid almost 40 dollars.

Can I say horrible? I have been in this city for work related issues over the past 2.5 years. Never in town for more than 2-3 days at a time. This Captain D's is right around the corner from my hotel accommodations. I am from Northern VA - DMV Area. Unfortunately, this franchise is all but a historic memory to NOVA area. Almost every Sunday after church (30 years) the place to go was Captain D's and you best hurry to get there!
Charlestown, W.VA is a city gone to muck! The crime, homelessness, the dirt, the funk, the drugs-dope, and this here restaurant right along with everything else. I can remember my first visit to this place. I was so excited and exhausted. I am not a heavy eater and Captain D's would be perfect for a fish sandwich, some fries, and a bottle of water. I decided not to use the drive through, so I went inside. Oh, this place was totally disgusting! Is anyone paying the light bill for this facility? I looked around for maybe 20 seconds and decided I best drive-thru before I lose my desire.
Drive-thru windows opens and I greet the young man with a good afternoon. His reply is, what do you wanna order? Really? I believe I spoke through the order intercom. I repeated my order and asked if the fish was whiting, cod, or catfish? The sassy gentleman he'd check. OK, thank you. He returns and states that he doesn't know and no one does. It's just fish. I replied, are you serious? No one knows what type of fish is being served. No! Sorry we don't! I replied, hhhmmm, OK. The he asked, Do you want your order or not?? I said, yes, sure, no problem. He was quick to return. Less than 10 minutes inside that empty gloomy place. No one was behind me in a vehicle or waiting inside. He comes back to the window to let me know it will be about 3 mins because of the fish. Not a problem, I replied. I am very patient and respectable. So the young man decided to be social and ask about my accent and guessed I must be from NYC. He was correct. With a smile, he asked what I was doing in Charlestown? I replied business and this is my first time in this city. Mind you, I am a man. He replied, ooo, one moment, with a gleam in his eyes. Ok, you're all done. Boy, was he happy with his wide smile and gleam in his eyes. OK, come back soon. Huh?? Wooooooow! I only look younger than my 60+ years. Been here many times before with the young men and women, UNTIL I let them know I am grand-dad. Do not be fooled by my jet black hair and easy voice & smile.
I took no offense until I arrived at my hotel room. After removing my shoes and washing my hands and face I was ready to check into the Charleston, WVA Captain D's!!!
I do not know if it was a fish sandwich or not! ! After the second bite and a chew, I had to cough whatever out of my throat! I opened the bun, but could not tell what it was. Immediate toss to the trash bin. I do not drink any soda pops or artificial drinks! My water was a cup of sprite? 7-Up? It was bubbles and sugar. I said, you know what? Bad timing today at that Captain D's. At least the fries were OK. I am in the hotel just 3 minutes walking distance from the establishment. I am not one to complain at a window or counter indoors, so I was not going to return for a refund. Over the 2 years past, I did get decent service twice. Each time I made it early (before 1-2PM). The service-food was decent and I made certain I was getting Pollock, because that is what Captain D's always specially delivered. Wild Alaskan Pollock. Now, was it really pollock? LOL Who knows, but it did come off as a decent Cod Fish. LOL
I suggest they mow this facility down to the studded beam foundation and start anew or close this place down forever. This place is located so many feet away from a river so you know you'll have issues by an urban center with rats, mice, and water bugs. If this place is making the Health Code Insp
