We stopped at Cafe Appalachia while driving through the area and were impressed by the quality of the food and the service. The mission is especially awesome and the locally sourced menu solidified a great experience for us.

It is a friendly cosy place to have a meal and relax!

While a great concept the food is a disappointment. It’s high priced with very small portions. An order of sausage turned out to be one small patty, think 1 1/2 inches, for 3.99.

We ordered and picked up dinner last night. We had 7 meals and some picky eaters! Everyone LOVED everything! The food is delicious, fresh, flavorful. The people there are genuinely nice people. They also have low carb options. I recommend everything but I could eat the pork bowl everyday. If you haven't tried Melange, you are truly missing out on some of the best flavors in Charleston!

Love Melange. Cozy atmosphere, affordable great food & drinks, friendly people, and consistency. And I’m very happy to have a local boba place! Highly recommend checking it out!

We love this Elk City spot. It’s a particularly cozy option for families with little ones. There are plenty of books and classic toys on hand to occupy my very curious toddler in a welcoming environment. Great craft beer options, too.

Food was great! Best pizza I’ve had in ages. Can’t wait to try other things on the menu! Prices very reasonable. What’s not to love?!! This will be our new pizza place for sure.

Books and Brews is the best small business in West Virginia in my opinion. The owners are the most down to earth, selfless people who do an amazing job at not only having 2 successful businesses, but raise a family while doing so. Hands down the best bosses I’ve ever had the pleasure of working for. Plus you can’t beat the awesome pizza and sandwiches they serve!!

Great Little place! Had nice artistic feel with the local paintings on the wall. Reminded me of a local eatery that you could find in a smaller college town like Shepherdstown, WV. Our visit was during the 530-7pm (close) timeframe on a Friday night. They obviously get most of their traffic during the lunch time hours from the hospital across the street. The philly cheese steak special was a great value. The Ruben was good (especially the Russian dressing...creamy and sweet but not overly sour). The small Greek salad seemed more like a medium (score!) and was covered in feta, olives and the fixings. Great, friendly staff. Drinks appear to come with the meals and are serve yourself. A great addition/extension to the East End Eatery scene. Kid friendly meals with Cheeseburgers and Grilled Cheese on Texas Toast. Only disappointment was didn't get to try the cheesecake...but what do you want on a Friday night before close.

This is my first time here and it will not be my last!! I had a turkey breast sandwich on a pretzel roll and my partner had the Rachel. Great food! Very friendly, comfortable service. Good prices. We paid $18 for our two sandwiches, a side of fries, and two drinks. Very happy. And full.
