The absolute best bbq in the state and surrounding areas. There is some serious thought and love in the dishes served here. You need a trip to downtown Charleston if you don't live in the area just to come here to eat. The brisket and pork is perfectly cooked and seasoned, not over compensating in any way for the wonderful smoke goodness in every bite. The ribs are nothing short of amazing, and then smoked bologna...damn! The sides are all stand outs on their own. The collard greens are the best I have eaten since my old pal Len(R.I.P. bro) introduced me how to properly make them in 1994. Mac n cheese? Yes, please..get extra to go..it reheats very well. The sweet potato casserole? You gon' want some more! This place is absolutely rooted in traditional bbq/soul perfect fusion, and you owe it to yourself to have the best bbq you ever put in your mouth..oh yeah, don't forget to save room for thr banana pudding! Don't forget to tell Ashley I sent ya!

Never wrote a bad review on anything BUT prices were misleading. They say $11.99 for a one meat 2 side combo but I got charged $20. According to them some meats like brisket are more pricey and there’s no way to know on the menu until after you purchase. I tried to explain to them and they wouldn’t budge. A lot of the things on the menu are crossed out which makes it complicated. Just cause it looks reasonable price doesn’t mean it will be. Don’t recommend.

Went in for lunch yesterday and discovered they had a buffet set up. It was fantastic! Can't beat the price for what you get. Can't wait to go back.

Worth the drive, food was delicious and the staff so friendly and inviting 😋. Took my best friend for her birthday yesterday drove from Huntington and we will definitely make the drive again. They know what it takes for an amazing experience. Can't wait to go back, the mac and cheese and their homemade Spicy BBQ sauce was out of this world. 10/10

We stopped in yesterday for my best friends birthday. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The management was so friendly and inviting. Definitely checks off all the boxes for an amazing experience. Great food, great people. We drove from Huntington to try them out. We will definitely be back, the spicy BBQ and their mac and cheese was out of this world (amazing)

Tried this place while passing through Charston. Quaint location and really great food. We chose the lunch buffet and did not regret it. Incredible value!

Stopped in for a bite between HS basketball games at coliseum. Immediately greeted by who we think was owner. She told us she was sold out of brisket. We opted for pulled pork, and it did not disappoint!!!!! Coleslaw was superb. The baked beans were amazing! Super friendly, fast, and scrumptious.

Incredible BBQ!! Ashley was our server (and owner) and just incredible. She helped us choose the perfect Saturday Night dinner while on vacation. The Pulled Pork, Brisket, Fried Whiting, Mac and Cheese, Sweet Potato Casserole, Collareds with Smoked Turkey, Spicy BBQ and homemade Tartar sauces are MUSTS. We will definitely be seeking this place out again when we are back in town.
