Great place! The staff and food were top notch 👌🏽
Great food great service. Nice ambiance. I had a lot of things on the menu and all were very good. Would recommend.
The drinks were great and the food was amazing. No wait but busy. And the waitress was super nice and uplifting.
We were going to go to a different restaurant after a conference but changed our minds after we looked at the menu prices. We found the same extravagantly-tasting food at Hale House for more reasonable fine-dining. Get a reservation, just in case, but we were able to walk in. It's near parking at the city building near the Davidson building, just a couple of minutes walk. Just spectacular: I got the pork chops with homemade au gratin potatoes. The pork chops were grilled perfectly in butter and spices, and the au gratin potatoes are the best I've ever had outside of making the box. Most restaurants cannot do au gratin potatoes and keep the cheese from breaking, but Hale's got it how it should be. My dining partner got an appetizer as an entree, crab cakes deep fried in Angel Hair pasta. It sounds weird, but the traditional crab cakes had a soft texture and the angel hair was crunchy, giving an artistic look and contrasting texture. My dining partner got a small salad, and the two together were a meal. It was $75 with tip, but no drinks or appies/ dessert. The first restaurant we looked at was $75 a PLATE! 😳😳😳 And Hale has a secret speakeasy that is fully decorated historic and the drinks are spectacular. To sum, spectacular, fine dining for reasonable prices, and fun/historic atmosphere to modern grill. I need to go back more often! 💫💫💫💫💫
Prime Rib is otherworldly!
Great food, a good bit of a wait but that's expected. Try the vanilla bean sweet potatoes as your side.
We were fortunate enough to dine at the amazing Hale House restaurant for our 12th wedding anniversary, which had a hidden Speakeasy downstairs where we waited until our table was ready, and what a treat that was. The atmosphere and food were simply incredible, romantic, and intimate, making it effortless to carry on meaningful conversations without distractions, the seating was perfectly arranged, and the flameless candles on every table added such a warm touch, we highly recommend it. The Speakeasy drinks were amazing, I had the Prohibition Punch and Robby enjoyed the Smoked Old-Fashioned. At Hale House Restaurant, I savored the Chocolate Martini, Lemon Drop Martini, while my husband delighted in the Strawberry Margarita. For our entrees, I chose the Salmon with Asparagus and Sweet Potato Mash, and my husband opted for the Prime Rib with roasted red potatoes. Our apps were bourbon & bacon wrapped shrimp also angel hair wrapped crab cakes topped with a creole honey mustard sauce. We definitely recommend going!
Great user experience from start to finish.

Super long wait for sub par food. Don’t do outdoor igloos if you can’t handle the extra capacity…could’ve had a better and quicker meal by Doordashing Chik Fila….

We sat at the bar, and there were 3 bartenders, and we were the only people at the bar at 530pm. Then, by 6pm the place was full, The problem was the one male bartender was rude and has the attitude of being bothered by any request.

Came here for drinks at the speakeasy on a Saturday night. There was one person working downstairs, both waiting tables and making drinks. The place was full and she was slammed. Drinks were not good. I ordered the black raspberry bourbon sour and it was basically just blackberry liqueur … no sour, no egg white, couldn’t taste the bourbon. My fiance had the “smoked” old fashioned and she definitely did not smoke it. She rushed over with our drinks and the check. I the bartender being in a rush is likely the fault of poor staffing, which led to poor service. Very cool spot downstairs and they nailed the speakeasy vibe but everything else was a huge miss. Disappointing.
We went to the attached bar. I gave the 1 star on food because we arrived just as they were closing the food down and didn't want to bother them by ordering last second. We will try to arrive earlier than 8pm next time so we have time to order and enjoy some food. The drinks were well made and they didn't skimp on the alcohol! They have Karaoke and the DJ is very kind and helps you feel at home when singing. The atmosphere is soft lighting and makes you feel safe and at home. The bartenders were helpful and the male bartender was my ABSOLUTE favorite! He was SO helpful and fun to talk to! The guy that worked as "Bus boy" was SUPER friendly and helpful as well! 10/10 DEFINITELY recommend!
Parking: There is a paid parking lot across the street with plenty of space and a short Walk to the bar and restaurant. Also, very affordable in the evening and weekends.
