The food was fast and good (and still warm). The service makes me want to go back - my server was awesome.

The wait staff was sweet and polite and attentive. Honestly the ser ice was the best part of the meal. The loaded potato skin appetizers were good and got my hopes up. The food however was not very good. My chicken breast was dry and even charred in places but that was covered up by cheese and veggies. My husband ordered a medium well steak that was RARE no medium even on the vocabulary. My son enjoyed his spaghetti. The hasbrowned potatoes tasted old or the oil that they were cooked in was. Overall it was edible but for the price it wasn't anywhere I will be stopping again soon.

I got the wilted leaf salad, chopped steak, hash browns, and pecan pie. Everything was very good. Large menu with many different entrees, soups, salads, etc. Breakfast all day. Great friendly service.

Mediocre food, nothing special. Small portions at high prices. The service is indifferent. I would just go anywhere else.

Went here after a pit stop. Small WV town diner. This place was pretty good. Our server was very friendly and we got our food quick. There is a gift shop so you can shop afterwards. The portions are huge, though, so if you come here, prepare to eat. Good place to eat before you take a long drive. Visit Harding’s Family Restaurant!

Salad was from a bag. Not good. Steak was very much just ok. Shrimp too. Baked potato had been baking and warmed up too many times.

Large servings, a few unusual options, lots of locals/repeat customers. Pancakes were also tasty and with hot syrup. Our server Crystal was amazing. Made us feel like a guest in her home. Convient location, right at highway exit. We plan to go back when in the area again.

Harding’s Family Restaurant - Disappointing Experience Despite High Ratings

I had high hopes for Harding’s based on the reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. I ordered the grilled cheese, which came out as toasted bread with a cold slice of cheese inside—definitely not grilled. The fries were soggy and lacked flavor.

The overall food quality was disappointing. Looking around, many dishes at other tables also looked like they’d been prepared ahead of time and sat before being served, arriving lukewarm according to others being served.

There was a 20-minute wait to be seated despite several empty tables, which was confusing. On the bright side, our server was pleasant and attentive. The restaurant itself is old but seemed reasonably clean—however, the bathrooms were another story: dirty and poorly maintained.

I wanted to like this place, but based on my visit, I wouldn’t return.
