What's the saying you can't go home again? While Laurys was once the go to of Charleston's elegant food scene it isn't the restaurant it once was... Food was less than stellar, I haven't heard so many dishes dropped in as long time and all in all a bit mediocre. I wanted to love it like I did decades again, but unfortunately it just isn't the same.
Laury's offers a high end option in the mediocre Charleston food scene. Their atmosphere is unmatched by any venue in the area, with beautiful classic decor overlooking a great scene of the Kanawha River and Levee. I’ll say, absolutely phenomenal!!! Well worth the money. I had the opportunity to eat here for prom with a friend of mine. The food was jaw dropping and the service was very friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I can’t wait to eat here again in the future!! I also recommend getting a reservation too.
