Amazing food, fun and casual atmosphere, convenient location but still removed from the midst of the city. Hugely recommend the pesto portobello pizza — some of the best pizza I’ve ever had and I eat a lot of pizza! Everything is fresh and bright and delicious, even the cocktails. Service is wonderful too. Everyone working was really friendly. Our server — forgot to ask his name but he had a great twirly mustache!! - was SO nice and so helpful. Great to have a conversation with and great service too. This was the best food we had while staying in Charleston. Definitely check them out! :)
Updated: Years later and this place isn't even close to what it was. The pizza isn't as good - dough is very different, the cheese is awful and salty, and overall taste isn't as it good as it used to be. This could be a frozen pizza and tastes like every other one out there. The service is really really bad these days also (the bartender/manager is miserable) - forgotten items never rang in, barely a smile, and super slow. Watched 2 people come in, wait and walk out after several minutes. Hate to see one of the best go so far downhill.
Original review: I love Lola's! Get the sangria, enjoy a fried goat cheese salad, and get a half baked to go and finish off in the home oven when you can't dine in. Delicious every time.

This past weekend was bittersweet as we bid farewell for the last time to the family homeplace and there was no doubt as the sunset on that mountain where we would eat, Lola's Pizza.
