Turned in parking lot
We have been eating here for years and the food is always amazing. I recently left my purse hanging on the chair and didn't realize until after they were closed for the night. I picked it up the next day, and everything was there including the cash! It's amazing that they have such honest employees!

Very decent Mexican food. My favorite is the Trio dip appetizer! Good food at a decent price. Chicken and shrimp have a wonderful grilled flavor. I also enjoyed their tamales!

Staying overnight in Charleston and picked Mexican restaurant based on reviews. All I can say is standards must be different here. This was the worst Mexican food we have ever had. I ordered California fish tacos and side rice. The tacos were described as grilled with cabbage slaw and pico. What came was mushy fish that was probably microwaved and soggy tortillas lasting any pico. The rice was tasteless. My wife had guacamole salad with side chicken taco. The taco's chicken was so dry and tough that is was uneaten. The salad was mostly iceberg lettuce with a dab of guacamole on top.
The cherry on top was we were seated next to a very loud party of twelve although there were other seating options. Conversation was impossible. Service was just okay.

Me and some friends were out having dinner at Plaza Maya. When I tell you we were having a good time, we were having a great time! We had not seen each other in quite a while. We were gathering our stuff to get ready to leave but one of the waiters didn't realize it. (BECAUSE he wasn't our waiter to begin with) He came over to our table and in an aggressive and loud manner, and told us he needed our table! Who does that?? He was soo rude!! Ruined our night. I will tell everyone about this treatment wherever I go because I'm still traumatized by it.
I didn't leave a tip because I was so pissed!!! Now some may say, that isn't fair, your waiter wasn't the one who was rude. I agree and we had planned to leave him a really big tip because he was so good to us. I thought about it and my reasoning is this.... This needs to be an over all message!!! I hope our waiter in the next TEAM MEETING says, how dare you mess up my money with my customers!!! I'm telling you the other customers could hear him when he told us he needed us to leave the table. You would have thought we were 21 year old's being rowdy. We are full aged adults and it was unnecessary. I have never had that happen at any restaurant I have been to.

This place is always consistent and I appreciate that in a restaurant. The employees are all very friendly and helpful. This has been the "go-to" lunch place for many businesses in the area and the food is the reason why. Their prices are also pretty good. I'm a huge fan of their enchiladas and their trio dip. They also have some of the best salsa (in my opinion) in the area.
Parking: Parking lot can be full during peak times but it usually moves fast.

My husband and I have lived in Charleston for 2 years now and only discovered this place via Google where it's covered from sight from the highway. Regret not finding it sooner! EASILY our new favorite Mexican restaurant. The food, atmosphere, workers, everything overall was great. Prices are about average for the typical Mexican restaurant which we were happy about. Our server was nothing but polite and helped us with anything we needed. We both agree that the cheese dip, salsa, and guacamole are all delicious and the best we've come across. I'm a big fan of pico de gallo so I order extra everywhere I go and it's definitely a win for me as well. I don't remember the name of what I ordered now, but it was 3 chicken soft tacos that came with rice, beans, and pico de gallo. I ordered a side of shredded cheese to go with it. They were loaded with chicken! My husband gave me his tortillas where he never uses them and glad he did, easily made 3 more tacos to take with me. He ordered the chori Pollo and he was very pleased with the overall taste and presentation of it. We can't wait to come back to sample the drinks and to try a new entrée. 30/10! Definitely come here if you're after a great experience.
