This is exactly the kind of place you hope to find. Family-owned, welcoming, and serving up true home-cooked BBQ. They smoke their own meats, and you can absolutely taste the time and care that goes into everything. The first-come, first-serve setup just proves how fresh it is—when it’s gone, it’s gone. The food was flavorful, generous, and made with heart. We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending this spot to everyone we know.

We have been here 2-3x since today, just decided to rate this BBQ and the place.

My wife had a Nachos with Pulled Pork and I had the Pulled Pork Platter.

The food was served within 5-7 minutes of ordering. The Nachos dish was good. It came with Queso along with some sauce sprinkled on the meat. It was a decent serving size.

The Pulled Pork Platter I felt was a little short on serving size to price ratio. The Baked Beans might have been in a 4oz cup. The Mac-n-Cheese might have been an a 6oz cup. The sliced cornbread was about right. And the pulled pork may have been a 6-8 oz serving.

The plastic utensils are a bit flimsy for certain textures of foods.

Overall, Big Chimney has a good, small business that has fed a number of dedicated customers over the past few years. Continue the good work.

Got brisket sandwiches. The meat was so tough my dog wouldn't even eat it. The fried green tomatoes weren't even cooked. Food was also cold. Didn't even eat it.

Happened to drive by and decided to check it out. Brisket nachos and pulled pork were both delicious! As well as the sides. Cool spot overlooking the river

This was by far the worst experience I've had. The food was horrible!! The BBQ sandwich tasted rotten! When I opened the cole slaw and it looked and tasted like store bought that's a bad sign!

Possibly the worst barbecue I've ever eaten. Got the combo. Ribs had a funny smell so I only ate one as I thought they might be spoiled. They were under cooked, not falling off bone like they should, and reheated from day before. Shredded chicken also had a funky smell and taste, so only ate one bite. Brisket was probably good the day it was cooked, whenever that was. A bit undercooked and then reheated. Good news: I did not get food poisoning. Should have been tipped off by the empty parking lot at dinner time.

Had a tasty BBQ sandwich with slaw. Both were flavorful! The decorations and the river were also much appreciated.
