Amazing food and service! Came in for lunch and ate inside. I’ve been here many times for the bar scene at night but never came in for lunch. E dry thing was perfect. Best Philly in Charleston hands down!

Honestly a total dive. Unfortunately the food was not great. Had the French dip and the meat was dry, over cooked and warmed up. The bread was good, but of course that was brought in... Bathroom was dirty.. basically one of those places where washing your hands requires you to touch something more dangerous than your private and personal waste. Looks like they don't care and it is reflected in the quality of the experience and the food.

If you want somewhere that smells like it hasn't been cleaned in 5 years, go here. I went to get some late night grub but immediately walked about because of the smell. Ive been to plenty of bars and they havent smelled like this.

Sam’s Uptown Café is one of those spots where you sit down, take one bite, and immediately remember why you came. Food’s on point every time, the crew treats you like you’ve been coming there for years, and the whole place just has that ‘you’re in the right spot’ vibe. Easy five stars

My wife and I were assaulted by an employee posing as Jesus as we were leaving. Several employees stepped in and shoved us out the door while they protected the employee who assaulted us and took him out the back door. A police report has been filed and charges will be filed against the employee that attacked us. Will be posting video as soon as it is released by the police.

I selected this place for sandwich to go, for dinner,based on awesome online reviews. Terribly disappointed. Philly meat was dry like jerky,bread was burned (not toasted).

So pleasantly surprised!!! Our bartender and waitress Jennifer was lovely and fun. Best bar food I’ve ever had, better than many “nice restaurants.” Relaxed environment, not too loud. Can’t wait to come back!
