Our waitress Payton was exceptional. Food on the bar was great as usual. We were visiting Charleston to see Christmas lights and this restaurant was close to ball
Park and the interstate to go home. The lady attending to the food bar was very nice and had me wait for fresh on two items. You don’t always get personal service with a food bar. Everyone we talked with was Friendly and we made sure the manager on duty knew how much we appreciated the restaurant.

I had high expectations after reviews said this Shoneys had improved. While better than it's been in quite a while, there are better options available at this price point.

There's a Black man named Calvin that is a Waiter there. Ask for him to be your server when you go in.
You will not be disappointed!!!

Omg this place is disgustingly gross! Do not eat here !
First off I wanted a Coke my husband a Mountain Dew they didn’t have either someone was getting them, so they ask if we wanted something else I said Dr Pepper, my husband, sweet tea, Dr Pepper with sugar water disgusting we had the buffet bar. I couldn’t find nothing that didn’t look like if I ate it I was gonna get food poisoning . The pork look like somebody’s lung that smoked. The spaghetti noodles were dry and the sauce look like red water.. By this time, my stomach was in knots I was disgusted so I got three hush puppies and a roll. I could only manage to eat one burnt hush puppy. It was like too cold. I didn’t even eat the other two hush puppies or the roll the Dr Pepper. I took one drink and I was done by this time. My stomach was in knots needless to say we had paid the 24 something. Because I had a plate the most expensive one hush puppy burnt mind You I’ve ever ate save your money go to Wendy’s right beside of it

One of the employees turned off the warmers under the food. The hot food was cold and the cold was warm. I was very disappointed ☹️. The staff was apologetic.

If breakfast had a Hall of Fame, Shoney’s would be front and center. The bacon is crisp, the eggs are fluffy (them omlets tho!!), and those French toast sticks!? Heaven's to Betsy dont forget the biscuits n gravy! It could make a grown man tear up. Everything tastes like it was made by someone’s Southern grandma who truly cares about your happiness.

I would not want to eat breakfast anywhere else...and honestly, I don’t know why anyone would! Come hungry, leave happy, and probably need a nap. 10/10 would pile my plate again!
