We took our grandson to Shoney's today and I was very disappointed. they did not have items to order from a menu. You had to get the buffet. It was so so but I do not like buffets and I was hoping for a slim jim sandwich and onion rings. I doubt I will be going back to shoneys anytime soon.

Went in for lunch and while our server was quite busy, the lunch buffet was amazing! I'm pregnant and haven't been able to eat red meat in months due to being pregnant and baby not agreeing. My fiance ordered a steak add on and I tried some, we ordered a second steak just for me because the baby allowed me to eat it! Definitely will be returning.

I hate to do this, but the place is dirty. You'll be hard-pressed to find a plate at the buffet that isn't dirty. 1 star until it's clean.

My wife and I went and couldn’t finish our plates the quality was so bad. We were charged $40 for the worst quality I’ve had at a restaurant. Unfortunate because my wife has great memories there.

Stopped in with our keys for the seafood buffet. Food was great, staff were very friendly. Our server April was great!

Some of my earliest memories are at the long-shuttered Shoney's in Beckley, so coming back was a nostalgia trip if nothing else. We came for Valentine's Day, and they had a special buffet - $40 for two people, including a slice of cake at the end! The buffet had steak and seafood on it, and everything was exactly as I remembered it from childhood. Great food at a reasonable price - in an era of upscale pretentious food, the down home charm of Shoney's is a breath of fresh air.

Classic Shoney's Big Boy with the food you expect. Lots of charm remains.

Kid-friendliness: It's a wonderful place to take not only your family, but your children as well. Everyone was so friendly and understanding with everything.

I called and verified the posted $3.99 for Baked Spegetti -from location specific Google Maps -which only the site owner can change. I ordered it and went to pick it up. I stood in the waiting area for far too long, yelling for any employee to show up. They tried to charge me $12, saying it's never been that price. I showed them their location's posted price, under entree's. The manager told me it must be a corporate thing. She said she couldn't fix it, or honor it, or accept any business responsibility.
I don't care about your business structure, it's a customer thing, and your manager failed your customer.

It was fine, I ordered off the menu. All my food was like room temperature. They sang me happy birthday which was cool.
