So I've always heard the term "greasy spoon" applied to small, (usually) family-run, restaurants that serve good, comfort food to local clientele. I don't know if The Grill is "family-run", but it IS small, it DOES serve good, comfort food, and it seemed most of the customers were locals. This place is a leteral hole-in-the-wall, blink-and-you'll-miss-it, eatery. It could be neater or fancier, but that's not what's important at The Grill. Instead, food and friendliness is the name of the game. (They even use paper plates for some orders, but who cares what the plates are made of - I'm not gonna eat those!) I had the fried balogna sandwich with an order of fries. The server said I would be getting a plate of fries... and she wasn't kidding! Everything tasted great. I say give The Grill a try!

Horrible Think ham and cheese sandwich was a hamburger bun, slice if packaged cheese and 1/4 inch piece of packaged ham.

Great burger and hot dog. Fresh buns and toppings. Old school diner atmosphere.

AC wasn't working on a very hot day. Stopped in. Was way too hot, so we left. The food may be good, but had concerns about the non-working AC.

Small grill and counter top service also a few tables. The cheeseburgers were out of this world, french fries done perfectly and the pineapple upside down cake w ice cream was delicious!

Had dinner at the GRILL this evening with two of my best friends for a birthday celebration. We were very excited to try it. I must tell everyone that is was very disappointing. Two of us ordered filet tips,Brussels sprouts and macaroni and cheese. We also ordered appetizers. We ordered stuffed mushrooms, artichoke dip and some kind of potato appetizer. Service was just so so. Not good and not the worse that I have had. Food was absolutely a disappointment. Had to send it back due to being cold. I doubt that we would go back there due to the quality of food for the price. I don't know right off the bat if I have had that bad of food anywhere of the caliber that that restaurant was suppose to be. Would have to give it a 1 star. The place was not even busy and it was a Friday evening.

A coworker and I went to The Grill today. I was my first time dining there. I ordered the English Dogs and onion rings. My coworker got a hamburger. She said they have the best burgers around. My hot dogs were pretty good. I wasn't a big fan of the type of ranch they use. I'm a ranch dipper, lol. I dip my onion rings in it. But the chili they used was pretty tasty. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm on the West Side. Pop, onion rings, and two dogs was close to $15 (excluding tip). That was a little higher than what I expected, but prices are higher everywhere nowadays unfortunately.

This place is a great hidden gem. Food is awesome, the value is great, and the people are truly kind and wholesome. We went not expecting anything, and this place blew us away. The entrance doesnt look like it leads into a restaurant, but that just adds to the "hole in the wall" feel. The crinkle cut French fries might be the best to ever be done, and the burgers are nice and fresh with that mom and pop feel welcoming you the entire way. You can tell the locals love it here and for good reason too. Would definitely come back.Kid-friendliness: They were super nice to our 2 year old daughter when we walked in and she loved it!Parking: Parking on the street was cheap and easy.

The Grill has been a part of my life almost 30 years. Hamburgers are fantastic, but Dave's Taco Salad is my favorite.

The food was very good. Prices were just a little higher than I would have thought, but not out of line or what you might pay elsewhere. Overall was happy for my first visit to The Grill!
