Always great. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Charleston! If you know it you love it ...if you don't you are surly missing out. The menu has changed some over the years but the quality and consistency has not. The Greek Salad Bowl with house made fresh poppy seed rolls are perfect to start. The seafood is reflective of what's in season the catch but if it n doubt the blackened yellowfin tuna steak never disappoints. The steaks are great too, as are the Maryland Crab Cakes. And I can't forget to mention the raw bar where the oysters, shrimp, etc are chillin on ice. I only wish they would put my all time favorite meal back on the menu....the marinated Teriyaki Steak with red potatoes. It was one of a kind and set the bar for what I still to this day expect of steak.

We ordered the Seafood Grill. Server informed us they were out of scallops and swordfish but would substitute extra salmon and shrimp. What we received was 5 shrimp and 2 very dry strips of salmon that were roughly 1/2”x1/2”x3”. The seasonal vegetables were swimming in oil and there were maybe 3 bites. Just a ridiculously small portion of food and although the plates were hot the food was not. Very disappointed.

One of my top favorite seafood restaurants. I’ve had lobster which was amazing, biggest and tasted so good. I’ve also had their burger and let me tell you it was delicious. The price is not that bad either.

Awful service. 7:30pm on a Monday. Waited 15 minutes and was seated in the bar. No issue with that, except the bar server had no interest in serving. After 30 minutes we managed to order drinks with a promise to return for our order. After watching the server wash glasses at the bar and do other housekeeping, we finally left. Like the rest of the mall, Tidewater is dead.

Had to send Dirty Dry Martini back 2x. I found it odd that he was making it in the kitchen not behind the bar. First time way too much olive juice. Oil floating on top. Used teeny tiny olives, no stuffing, juice from the jar. Sent it back. Then made it again in the kitchen not behind the bar. It tasted funny. Watered down. I asked if there was vermouth in it he said no. Less juice though. I said Vermouth is the dry part of a dirty dry martini. He took it back. So then someone else brought me another Martini from a shaker, pours in glass. He said dry martini I replied dirty dry martini he said oh, ok. Took it away and brought it back this time with olive juice.Ordered Calamari. First I was told they did not have any. Then I was told they did. When he brought it to the table we tried to eat it. It was SO burnt and dried out we could not eat it. Asked for waiter. Asked him to look at what was brought out. He agreed it looked "rough." Then explained he should never have sent it out because it was the little bit he had left in the back. We asked for fried oysters. Was told not to order anything fried because the oil was "old and needed changed." I asked the brussel sprouts appetizer, how about that, it's not deep fried is it? He said flash fried. I said never mind on the appetizer. Got a Greek salad bowl and Fettuccine. They charged me for calamari then credited the bill like they were doing me a favor. Charged me for the third martini attempt. Should have at least comped it for the time and stress this disaster event caused but nope. Not how a place should be operated. Sending out food you know is bad. SMH. Horrible, stressful time!!! Manager where were you???

I ordered the surf and turf, and it was to die for. It was expensive but well worth it.Wheelchair accessibility: Tide Water is on first floor of Towne Center Mall.

Still a good restaurant in Charleston for seafood. There's been some changes over the years. Some for the better and some for the worse. Our food was fine today and our server was excellent. Of course the bread is always delicious although I wish the would go back to the old pads of real butter that they used to give with these. My only complaint is the greek salad. At one time the greek salad here was amazing. It used to come in a giant bowl that would be shared at the table. Now you can order it as a side. But it is not the same and not as good. The lettuce in particular seems to be of a lower quality and comes in large pieces. The color, look and texture is of lettuce that is served as a garnish and not for really eating. They've dropped the ball on that one thing for sure.Hopefully Tidewater can make it through this terrible time for the mall but they're going to have to be on top of their game to do so.I want to update this and say that over the last few months the food and service have improved. The quality of the greek salad has gotten much better as well. Not a bad crowd for a Tuesday night in Charleston. Hopefully if you leave the mall you find a new location.
