Hole-in-the-wall gem for delicious fish. This is probably a place that’s more for locals than visitors, but we happened upon it when passing through on a trip and made a point of changing our route home in order to go again.

Finished taking on the local museum and wanted lunch. Found this small little gem about a block away. Food was very fresh and cooked to perfection. Menu had a nice selection of lunch items. Our server, Autumn, was stellar. She was friendly, kept a good eye on us, and just made us feel at home. Seating was available inside and out. We opted for the outdoor deck. Parking was available adjacent to the restaurant.

Lots of Fried food options. Shrimp tacos were great, crab cake was meh, haddock sandwich was good. Onion rings and hush puppies were yummy.

We ate outside on the patio late afternoon on a Saturday, since we had our dog with us. Sona took good care of us. I had wings with wazza sauce which was spicy and sweet. The shrimp po boy had plenty of shrimp on a nicely grilled bun with lettuce tomato and some baha sauce. Just right! My wife had a burger that hit the spot and we both got the house made chips which are the best!

We hadn't been in a while so there have been some changes to the menu. Since the kitchen also serving the nearby Red Carpet Lounge, the menu is a mash up between classic Tricky Fish, The Carpet and Sam's uptown cafe.

Our food and two beers each was just under $50. Beers are reasonablly priced with most crafts still $5 and a miller lite was $3.50.

Great food and service in a very casual atmosphere. We had the carnitas and the crab cake sandwich. Both came with large, tasty, and hot fries.

Never ate from here before and I ordered the hush puppies and the blackened Mahi tacos, both were spicier than I expected but, overall, awesome. The service provided over the phone and when I picked up my food by Autumn, I believe it was, was also awesome!

My grandfather owned a grocery store when I was little. He had a small table and chairs in the back store room between all the boxes and supplies where he and my aunt would eat lunch. Eating in Tricky Fish reminded me of that. That's not really a bad thing for me, personally but probably not what the owners were going for. The counter and dining area desperately needs an update. That said, the food was good. This was my first time here in years. The last time, I didn't care for it. I have to say, the food is much better than it was under the previous owners. The service was friendly but they were certainly understaffed when we were there. One woman was trying to take orders, cash people out, bus tables, and answer phones. She did it all with grace, though.

If you're looking for a very decent Po'Boy, look no further. The sauce on my Shrimp Po'Boy was a little sweet for my taste, but once I spiced it up with one of their wide selection of sauces on the table, I enjoyed it almost as much as the ones I'd get in Mississippi!! Their chips were really good too. I like extra crunch. Also tried the Gouda Cheese bites. They were good and smokey. I plan on going back to try the fish tacos. I've heard good things...
