It was my mom's birthday and I wanted to take her somewhere different. I had seen a couple reviews on social media about a new place in Danville, so we decided to try it out. We arrived around 5:00 for dinner. The restaurant is in a beautiful older American style house (maybe early 1900's) that has been turned into a very nice dining environment. You could not create a better atmosphere. The Magnolia House is charmingly appointed, sits along the river, and the dishes are prepared with an eye for presentation from the woven napkins to the wooden plate for my sandwich. I had the special fancy sandwich of the day which was made with fresh bread, marinated vegetables and prosciutto. My husband had the BLT minus the egg that came with potatoes. Food was great, but next time I will ask for salad on the side for a healthier meal....read full review
