We went for lunch and had the greatest experience.Everyone loved their roast beef and ham and cheese sandwiches. We ended up ordering two more roast beef sandwiches to share. Being a vegetarian and gluten free, I was pleasantly surprised to find a super delicious healthy and filling option. Highly recommend!Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and gluten free options

Man cutting the meat is EXTREMELY rude. The food is hit or miss. Some items are good some are mediocre.

What's up with the rude staff here on 1/15/24? Was coming in from the snowy weather and took a brief moment to knock the snow off my boots, trying to be considerate. Apparently didn't get through the cramped dark vestibule fast enough and my family got an earful from the grumpy guy working today. Mister, this mom knows a thing about good manners and you are severely lacking. Won't be returning.

Yummy! We had originally picked another place to eat but it was closed so we ended up here. I'm so glad we did! Had the Dead Parrot sandwich. It was finger licking good! Super nice people running the place. You can see by the looks of "The Lounge" (where you sit to eat) there is a lot of character at the place.

Spent less than a minute inside the store before the man behind the counter was aggressively rude to us. Walked out without purchasing anything and will never be

Grabbed subs while traveling thru the area. Nice people, subs were ok but expensive. Two subs were $25 and they were barely 6 inches. Glad we could support a local family business while driving thru but would not stop again.

We spent less than a minute in here before walking out. The guy behind the counter was a jackass who talks down to customers and subjects his employees to verbal abuse in front of everyone. Would not recommend.

Grimy restaurant, dimly lit and smoky from burning grease. Incredibly unfriendly guy running the place, really made me feel like I was putting him out by spending my money there. Go anywhere else but here.

The portion size vs price is very disappointing. Cleanines is questionable. Ordered a turkey sandwich and although the taste was good, the portion size would not even be enough for my 7 yr old grandson. Wife got the reuben and said it wasn't very tasty. Photo of sandwich is 1/2 sandwich and the photo of fan and window shade brings the cleanliness of the rest of the place into question. Would not recommend.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My family went inside and left in disgust within a minute. The man behind the counter was very rude and condescending to a family member who asked a simple, harmless question about whether the attached room was for dining in. The man then proceeded to verbally abuse an employee. I would not recommend this place, irregardless of how the food actually might have been (as we did not order anything). There are plenty of places to eat that have friendly, polite employees.

So to start, I have to say that my first visit here was a year ago and was the complete opposite of my more recent visit (yesterday). Last year we met the owner’s daughter, who was absolutely lovely. The food was delicious, though a bit pricey. My mother-in-law and her sister are in town from Ireland and I wanted to take them to see Blackwater Falls, figuring we’d stop here for a bite.We walked in the door. No one said hello. I asked the man behind the deli if the owner was in, with a big smile on my face. He was incredibly rude. He said the owner wasn’t in, and heard me mention something to my husband about how it was a shame “she” wasn’t here to say hello to. He then told us that they hadn’t had a “she” owner for over 20 years, and made us feel very uncomfortable as if we were lying (for what?!?). I said to him maybe it was the owners daughter, and he just continued to grouch, acting as though we had no clue what we were talking about. FINALLY he realized we were asking about the owner’s daughter. But he continued to be extremely rude. He literally argued back and forth with me and my husband before finally understanding what we were saying. My husband had said something about the woman we had met going to or being from Ireland and he very quickly straightened us out by saying that there was no one from Ireland who owned the deli and that the woman we were talking about had never been to Ireland (or never goes to Ireland). That was when he mentioned one of the owners parents were from Ireland. Well there you go! If you knew that all along, why not mention that previously? It was absolutely absurd, choosing to argue with us instead. My mother-in-law and her sister asked what the soup of the day was (which is what it tells you to do on the menu). The girl at the register didn’t know, so she asked him. He ignored her, so my aunt asked him. He kept slicing away with the meat slicer and harshly told her either her voice was too soft or her accent too difficult to understand (his words). She asked again and he was again very rude to her, and said something about how the soup is like soup in Philadelphia, as if she would know, being from Ireland. (To be fair, “soup” is very different in much of Ireland.)We asked if there was any wine. There is. In a can. We asked if there was any tea. There is. But it’s bottled iced tea, not the kind of tea they were looking for. We began to order our lunches. One of us ordered a chicken sandwich and then a Reuben, and then my husband ordered a chicken sandwich only to be told by the guy behind the deli counter that there was only enough chicken for one sandwich (rudely, as appears to be his M.O.).At that point we decided to leave. Between being out of chicken and the absolutely disgraceful attitudes of the two people working, we’d had enough. We were all starving, but drove back the hour and a half to Morgantown to have a much friendlier experience. It is highly unlikely that my husband and I and our cohort of friends here will ever go back. I hope the owner(s) find better help. People who know how to smile at the very least.

A great place to pick up a takeout sandwich. Eat-in space is dark and lacking in ambience, sort of a hippie dive bar feel. . The menu is extensive with several interesting vegetarian options. I tried the vegetarian reuben and my partner tried the hummus wrap. Both were excellent! Staff are friendly and helpful about local events and opportunities. We waited close to 30 minutes for the sandwiches, but if you're not in a hurry, is definitely worth the wait.
