? one of my absolute favorite places to eat! I make sure I only drive through the area when hellbenders is open and I can eat food there and then bring extras home to have for the week! I love their burritos! And they are huge!

Burritos are massive, but a majority of their mass is rice. Still pretty good.

My family and I come to Davis every summer and always get Hellbenders on our first night in town! I would highly recommend the Admiral.

The most reliably satisfying restaurant in Davis. Generous burritos. Tasty food, especially with the wide assortment of hot sauces. Could satisfy our diverse group ranging from carnivore to vegan. Friendly, casual atmosphere. Worth the wait for food to arrive.

Vegan eh. Everything is very bland, unsalted. Their cilantro rice, peppers, onions, and beans are all wet and bland. Their guac tastes like cheap store-bought. It's like they just cooked ingredients with no seasonings, wrapped and charged $15. Their seitan is gelatinous and spongey, tofu has soy sauce instead of Latin seasonings? Doesn't make sense for the cuisine lmao. They rely heavily on dairy and meat to cover the flavorless-ness of their food.

This is a must visit place if you like fresh scratch made food in good quantities. The burritos are huge and better bring an appetite. Cool fun decor and atmosphere. Great selection of microbrews and other unique non-alcoholic drink selections.

Service was excellent. I had the Cuban sandwich burrito, and it was amazing. It was busy during lunch, but service was still cheerful.

The food is excellent! Best chicken tacos I ever had. The burritos are very big, heavy and fills you up. Definitely stop by for a bite!
One of the best burritos I have ever eaten. Green chili stew is outstanding.
Great selection of local brews and soft drinks.

If you know, you know!
Kid friendly-did have height chairs. We went later on a Friday night. It was a 40 minute wait but I think that was likely due activities in town. Either way, the food was well worth the wait! The queso and chips was out of this world! Due to our child being tired from a long day, we took our burritos home. They are HUGE and well put together! Typically burritos can be super messy. These were not. My wife got a classic chicken and I got a classic shredded beef. Totally on point! It is seat yourself and ordering is done at the register.
Parking: Parking is limited to on street as well as what we assume to be a public parking area a few addresses down. Not a problem!
Kid-friendliness: They did have height chairs.

Food was good, but they forgot my order completely and I sat and waited 20 minutes until I realized all the people that came in after me had food. I asked about it and the waitress was rather cold. No apology whatsoever. Just kind of frustrating when you’re starving!
