Haven't been...
Love eating here! Small and personal! Delicious food and caring staff! Make it your next eat out night!
I was there for my birthday on July 5 2025. We hit them pretty hard because we brought a group of 15 which we almost filled the restaurant. They are small place with great food and wonderful service! Our waitress did an excellent job handling our big group! The chef also did an amazing job getting our orders out together and everything was delicious! Thank you all for the wonderful experience and I will return when I am in the area! I also recommend others to stop in as well if near by!

We were riding the curves and stopped at Cass to see the steam trains. While there a young lady overheard us contemplating what to do for lunch and she offered the recommendation of Dean's Den.
So, off we went. Had someone not recommended this place I never would have even noticed it on the road. We almost missed it while enjoying the curvy roads.
But we found it, stopped and got one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The special was an open face roast with beans and mashed potatoes . It was outstanding and the price was less than half what i would pay in DC.
The young lady that was running the dining area was the nicest person. She had just the right mix of charring with us without intruding.
Best of all, while we were there a tray of brownies was done and we all got fresh hot brownies. What a treat!
What a great find.

Amazing. Just incredible. The best blue cheese dressing I’ve ever had in four plus decades on this planet. Go there.
Great food! Friendly place. And you just can’t beat the country setting. Thank you fellow biker who recommended this to me 58 miles North of here. Worth it. 😀
Usually not too busy and the service is always friendly. We went for a Valentine’s Day afternoon dinner and the meal was fixed in a timely manner. My Ribeye ordered medium was cooked to perfection and tender to cut as well as chew the juices out of. Fries were crispy and the side salad to start tasted great with bleu cheese dressing that seemed to be homemade.
It’s just a lot of fun to get this great a meal in the middle of the Wild & Wonderful.
Great food. Excellent service. Love this place. The scampi is my favorite. The mushroom Swiss burger is excellent.
A fantastic place! Great food. Always look forward to the specials. Really appreciate they do take-out orders. Absolutely worth the drive.

Very extensive menu for remote location. Even though they may not have every item on the menu available. We all were able to have a very good meal, and all 4 diner's in our party ate a different menu item. It is the kind of place that you feel as if anything you order is going to be well prepared. Doesn't look like an exciting place, but the cook's ability to carry a tune while preparing meals was entertaining.

What a great little hidden gem. We came across Dean's Den by accident while driving in the mountains of Virginia and West Virginia. I had a great rib-eye sandwich, my wife enjoyed her Club Sandwich, the service was fast and friendly.
We are looking forward to our next visit.

Not many places one can feed a family of four for $50.00 these days with fresh food. Highly recommend a stop if driving through Frost, WV!!

The appetizer i had was fantastic (broccoli cheese bites) and the server was very kind.
I will say the kitchen staff is a bit... Rude? You can here them extremely clearly from the front. I know i kind of ordered "off menu" (asked for Mac and cheese with added mushrooms) and I could hear them telling the server that it would take too long or that it was too complicated "especially" with someone else at my table ordering an egg on their burger (literally part of the menu??). Not to be *that* person but.... It's mushrooms and 1 egg. They take basically a minute to cook... When did I say I was impatient? In my opinion if your kitchen staff is that picky about add ons they need a full wall so you don't have to hear them, because yes you can be upset about it but could you not loudly speak about it basically ten feet from me?
To their credit they still made it and it was delicious. By far the best Mac & cheese in the area that Ive tried. I will say the noodles used aren't Mac they're penne and make the vibe that they're trying to be fancier than they are but it's not like the shape is that big of a deal. The tinderloin artichoke thing was pretty good according to my mom and the burger my dad has was also reportedly good. The drinks are self serve which is a big strange but I actually did like that. Burgers don't come with fries but that's fine as it was very filling.
Prices are really good id say especially with how good everything tastes in comparison to other restaurants in the area.
