“Been by this little building probably 50 times over the years and never really noticed it. There's not a lot in the area, so when I saw they were a bakery we stopped in for some treats. The white chocolate macadamia cookies were chronic. The mini cake was good. I will say the Pepperoni roll with marinara is the best pepp roll I've had in a long long time. I initially judged the lack of grease dripping out as a sign of a poor roll, with a lack if fillings like Chico Bakery, but boy was I wrong. Tons of pepperoni and cheese And super soft dough, like you can tell a baker made these, just perfectly made. It had just a hint of sauce that made it perfect. I always say Federicos in Steubenville, OH have the best rolls because they use sauce in them , but I'm gonna give Best Roll status to Mtn State Cakes. Thanks again!”

“OMG this waffles are so good! The best I tried. You can add cinnamon or sugar or anything, however if they are warm they don’t need anything at all. Right out of lift, makes it so nice to pick up one with a hot chocolate while resting before finishing the day and enjoying the sunset. I am even looking on ordering some to get home and make my mom try (yes, I likes them that much) whatever it makes it caramelizar on the outside is crack (?). It could be cheaper but nothing around in snowshoe is best food quality and in general more expensive”

“We love going to Old Spruce at any of their locations around the mountain. You can't beat family businesses, the owner is very involved and also very friendly, and the staff are amazing. We always have a wonderful time. Thanks for being awesome!”

“I felt as if I was an old prospector, wandering around in grandmas trinket shop. Food was goush - “good mush”. If you have no teeth or lack there of, this is the place for you. Server was nice.”

“My wife and I just wanted a quick meal on our last night visiting and we ordered takeout. Definitely the best place to eat on the mountain. The food quality and portions were spot on. Would recommend as the place to eat while visiting.”

“Great food, drinks and music. We got the bianca pizza and then headed outside for a drink on their deck during their deck party during our ski trip. They had a couple of DJs out there playing great music along with an outdoor bar. All of the staff were very friendly as well.”

“One of the best meals I have ever had! And I dont say that lightly. Our server was sweet and attentive. Our drinks were delicious. The calamari was the absolute best Ive had. Not rubbery at all, the sauce was soo good. The trout was so incredibly fresh and the pork chop was so juicy and tender with an amazing glaze. The apple pie dessert with cinnamon ice cream really capped this near perfect meal. Good job Appalachia Kitchen!! ?????”

“Whoever gave this less than 5 stars needs to give their head a shake. I'm from Philly and spent plenty of time in NYC and the mushroom pizza was hands down the best pie I've had in recent memory. Compliments to the chef.”

“This slightly out of the way joint provided a hot meal for my family when we needed it. Other places we called would not do carryout, citing the number of customers they had. After a day skiing, my kids were hungry and not particularly picky. Yes, the options are limited, but I thought the double smash burger with tots was good and my wife enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich. The cobb salad was fine, but not large. The mango habanero wings were surprisingly good (I liked them better than the wings at Cheat Pizza for comparison), as were the tots. Importantly, the service provided by Sean was prompt and friendly - these are qualities sometimes in short supply in other parts of the resort area. He did well! All in all, Hoots came through in a pinch and we will return.”

“Stopped in the junction for a beverage and lunch on Saturday while skiing. The Super thick, cut bacon made the club sandwich perfect. Our bartender, Courtney, recommended the pasta salad and it was spot ”

The staff is always friendly and very polite, they are also very knowledgeable, they recommend the best drinks! Ask about the Chocolate Mousse Iced coffee, you won’t be disappointed! ❤️❤️”
